I'll save The Maquis, Part 1 again for a change. I love Sisko's speech about it being easy to be a saint in paradise. The ongoing tension regarding the colonies that have been left to fend for themselves near Cardassian space was tragic.

There's a LOT of tension in this story, which keeps a viewer hooked. Surviving by the skin of one's teeth isa great way to keep an adventure series moving forward and this one does it with some style. Most of which is rock solid.

("Wooooooooorf!" Amazed he didn't call out for Wesley, who could be halfway across the universe and would hear it all if this were season one.. but no worries, as later scenes will point out.)

Contriving to get Worf to be a donor when all the Vulcans wandering around on board aren't is a huge stretch, but being part of a loose arc that continues with "The Defector", I can't nitpick too much. Drat. :guffaw:)

Of course, those spikes Geordi phasered probably needed more time to cool, but - again - it's too little a thing to get needled about.

(Who makes sand more compelling, lil' Anakin or Gerordi? I bet 500 Quatloos most will say Geordi. That, and the scene also shows the downer in that the contrivance to bring in Worf's drama was a pretty strung-out one too. But if you compare Geordi to Maxwell Smart in terms of bluffing via exaggeration, it's a sweet sweet tie game. Well, edge to Geordi on this as he's more convincing to get the enemy to work together in a mutual crisis.)

The Forsaken is probably one of my favourite uses of Lwaxana Troi. Her scenes where she was trapped in the turbolift with Odo when he needed to regenerate showed great humility.

Saving "THE PASSENGER".

I get a strange amount of amusement watching Siddig do his Vantika impression. Plus, Odo gives good security lessons, and his scene with Sisko in his office when he asks who is in charge is great.
