I will save "UNFORGETTABLE". It had Virginia Madsen, who I always found very pretty. (Despite being blonde... I've always preferred brunettes and redheads.) That's about the only good thing I can say about the episode.

At the start of the thread, I commented that the full list had 5 episodes I thought would make deserving winners. And that's almost exactly what we've ended up with at the end! Those 5 in my mind were "Tattoo", "Favorite Son", "Spirit Folk", "Fair Haven", and "Unforgettable."

Anyway, still trying to save Elogium, as the last hour up here that offers me any entertainment value...

I will help you by giving a point to "ELOGIUM". For me, at least they tried to have Kes' race be really different in terms of reproduction, despite it making no sense. And it was cool seeing those space dwelling lifeforms.

And Tuvok's line of, "It appears we hsve lost our sex appeal." That was priceless.

Fair Haven. I know it's maligned and I understand why, but it made me laugh... at least in a couple of spots. And it's a sight better than Spirit Folk (and a bit better than the others that remain, for me)
edit: oh yeah, and I loved Seven kicking that one guys' ass at darts.

I'll give a point to "Fair Haven", on the grounds that it's the less objectionable of the Irish Holodeck duology, simply by virtue of being first. Making TV is hard, mistakes will be made, sometimes you run out of time, I see how one might make the bad call that gets "Fair Haven" on the air in the first place.

But then! After seeing how terribly it turned out! To go back a second time! So that makes "Spirit Folk" worse, and "Tattoo" and "Favorite Son" are different kinds of awful, so I'll hold off on them just in the hopes of some awfulness variety in the final three...

My Irish ancestors would haunt me if I voted for either of those episodes while alternatives exist (in addition to all their other problems, my God, the clichés!), and "Tattoo" was downright offensive. "Favorite Son" was merely silly.

I guess Fair Haven? The idea of needing homey escapism at least sorta makes sense even if execution was terrible in every conceivable way?

I thought Favorite Son was going to win it all, looks like it probably gets saved and either a Fair Haven or Native American exoticism episode wins.

Oh, God. Well to me Tattoo is by far the worst, so it's between the other two. Favorite Son isn't terribly offensive so much as the combination of highly stupid and incredibly bland. Spirit Folk is more stupid, but less bland. I guess I have to go for stupid over bland. And Janeway gets laid.
