The MOST Disliked Episode of TNG - Season One...

Hide And Q is a fun romp with Q. Of course the terrible green planet set, that even in SD was plainly on a soundstage, just added to the fun of the episode.

Encounter at Farpoint
The Naked Now
Code of Honor
The Last Outpost
Lonely Among Us
Justice
The Battle
Angel One
Too Short A Season
Symbiosis

Not a lot to choose from at this point. I'm removing "The Last Outpost". While it's not the best episode of S1, it's certainly not the worst. The episode had a very Trek feel to it as in it was a strange, new world. The Tkon empire seemed interesting. The holographic planet shown in the conference room was neat and we finally got to meet the new "bad guys".

Too Short A Season
Symbiosis

"Encounter at Farpoint" is hereby beamed out. Looking back, I can see that it was slow and predictable, but at the time I was so thrilled to see a new Trek series that I spent most of the two hours hyperventilating. Also, this is the episode that introduced Jean-Luc Picard and Q, two characters who went on to become icons of the Trek universe.

The Naked Now
Code of Honor
Lonely Among Us
Justice
The Battle
Angel One
Too Short A Season
Symbiosis

I thought Symbiosis was very engaging. Outside of that one Wesley scene (you know the one I mean) it was an interesting hour of Star Trek.

The Naked Now
Code of Honor
Lonely Among Us
Justice
The Battle
Angel One
Too Short A Season

Not much left to choose from. I'll eliminate The Battle for the Picard backstory, the nice new Stargazer model and seeing the Picard maneuver. It's clearly the atrongest of the remaining episodes.

The Naked Now
Code of Honor
Lonely Among Us
Justice
Angel One
Too Short A Season

I'll save Too Short a Season. The execution wasn't all that great, but it was an interesting story concept, and having Admiral Jameson treat the Prime Directive as any other law, with loopholes and such, felt more believable than the near-religious attitude towards it held by many captains later on.

The Naked Now
Code of Honor
Lonely Among Us
Justice
Angel One

Lonely Among Us spared further humiliation... seriously I did ike data in this one (as per usual, sort of) and I did like some of the negative vibes between those two species... those suckers amuse me. ;)

The Naked Now
Code of Honor
Justice
Angel One

Damn, beat me go that episode!

Okay, I will have to go with "Justice" as the next one to be saved. Not a lot to redeem it, but it does at least have Riker's final line before they beamed off the planet.

The Naked Now
Angel One

In that case I'll save Angel One, only because it wasn't a TOS remake/sequel that nobody asked for especially that early in the series.

The Naked Now wins.
