The most disliked episode of TNG - Part Six

Okay Trek fans, "least disliked" has concluded, so now it's time for the opposite. The basic idea here is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your favorite or the one you deem the 'best.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters before you play again. Pretty simple. Enjoy! :bolian:

I'm saving "Lessons," since I'm sure the others I enjoyed will be picked up really quickly. This is probably something TPTB should have done years earlier, and it's well acted and well written by everyone involved.

- I love how it's basically Die Hard on the Enterprise. And it was good to see Patrick Stewart do some action stuff on the show.

Tapestry. This is one of my favorite Q episodes. Also great character development for Picard and we learn much more about his character history.

Rascals
A Fistful of Datas

Chain of Command (II), A great episode for Picard, with Stewart on top form. David Warner gives a fantastic performance as his torturer. Even Ronny Cox's deliberations with the Cardassians are pretty tense stuff, especially his argument with Riker.

I know it has its naysayers but for me "The Chase" is classic Trek at its finest. I love the various cultures of the franchise and seeing them come together (to an extent!) is fun stuff.

I love The Chase. :techman:

I'm saving Face of the Enemy, which is, I think, Troi's finest episode. I love seeing her undercover in a totally unfamiliar role, and I like the link with Unification from season 5.

Realm of Fear
Man of the People
Schisms
True Q
Rascals
A Fistful of Datas

I'm probably going to take some flack for this, but I'm braving ahead and doing it anyway....

Rascals
- I never got the hate for it. It's a fun little adventure and Young Picard is great fun. Imagining Patrick Stewart's Picard throwing a temper-tantrum to a Ferengi is hilarious.

Realm of Fear
Man of the People
True Q
A Fistful of Datas

I'm saving "Schisms", because it is an extremely creepy episode done really well. The holodeck scene is a work of psychological thriller beauty!

I'm usually not big on children-based episodes but "Rascals" was pretty awesome.

Time's Arrow (II)
Realm of Fear
Man of the People
True Q
The Quality of Life
Chain of Command (I)
Ship in a Bottle
Aquiel
Birthright (I)
Birthright (II)
Suspicions
Rightful Heir
Second Chances
Timescape
Descent (I)

"A Fistful of Datas" -- hey, another episode featuring a child prominently I enjoy! Spiner and Dorn are great here.

Time's Arrow (II)
Realm of Fear
Man of the People
True Q
The Quality of Life
Chain of Command (I)
Ship in a Bottle
Aquiel
Birthright (I)
Birthright (II)
Suspicions
Rightful Heir
Timescape
Descent (I)

Second Chances - one of my favorites, the story about two versions of Riker separated only by experiences in the last 7 years is a really interesting SF exploration of identity. It's also the one time Riker/Troi ship was interesting.

I know it has its naysayers but for me "The Chase" is classic Trek at its finest. I love the various cultures of the franchise and seeing them come together (to an extent!) is fun stuff.

I'm probably going to take some flack for this, but I'm braving ahead and doing it anyway....Rascals[/I] - I never got the hate for it. It's a fun little adventure and Young Picard is great fun. Imagining Patrick Stewart's Picard throwing a temper-tantrum to a Ferengi is hilarious.

Both of those are great episodes, Rascals is just a big bunch of fun.

The Quality of Life
Chain of Command (I)
Ship in a Bottle
Aquiel
Birthright (I)
Birthright (II)

I'm saving Timescape because it's a good story with a lot of fun and intrigue.

Time's Arrow (II)
Realm of Fear
Man of the People
True Q
The Quality of Life
Ship in a Bottle
Aquiel
Birthright (I)
Birthright (II)
Suspicions
Rightful Heir
Descent (I)

Saving "Chain of Command, Part I" this time. You know, I think I like the sixth season like thrice as much as the fifth. There are still plenty of episodes left I plan on helping out.

Time's Arrow (II)
Realm of Fear
Man of the People
True Q
Ship in a Bottle
Aquiel
Birthright (I)
Birthright (II)
Suspicions
Rightful Heir
Descent (I)

The Quality of Life- a nice look at ethics involving the creation of AI.

Time's Arrow (II)
Realm of Fear
Man of the People
True Q
Ship in a Bottle
Birthright (I)
Birthright (II)
Suspicions
Rightful Heir
Descent (I)

I'll save Aquiel. It's not the best episode by any means, but it's an interesting little mystery with some sci-fi elements.

Time's Arrow (II)
Realm of Fear
Man of the People
True Q
Ship in a Bottle
Birthright (I)
Birthright (II)
Suspicions
Rightful Heir

I'll go ahead and save "Descent, Part I" since I love the Data/Lore stuff quite a bit. There are some things that really hold back its sequel for me, but that's not until next round, so...

Time's Arrow (II)
Realm of Fear
Man of the People
True Q
Ship in a Bottle
Birthright (I)
Birthright (II)
Suspicions

Rightful Heir is saved. It's certainly not the best 'Klingon' episode, but it's still got plenty going for it and at least it tries to have a discussion about the place of religious leaders in a secular society.

Time's Arrow (II)
Realm of Fear
Man of the People
True Q
Ship in a Bottle
Birthright (I)
Birthright (II)
Suspicions

I'll save Ship in a Bottle. I loved the first Moriarty episode so this was a welcome follow-up, and with Barclay to boot.

I can't believe Aquiel has gone, I felt that was the worst TNG episode since season 2. :D
