The most disliked episode of TNG - Part Five

Silicon Avatar
New Ground
Hero Worship
Violations
The Masterpiece Society
Power Play
The Outcast
Cost of Living
The Perfect Mate
Imaginary Friend

Ethics- a decent dilemma for Worf that fleshes out Klingon culture a bit.

Silicon Avatar
Hero Worship
Violations
The Masterpiece Society
Power Play
The Outcast
Cost of Living
The Perfect Mate
Imaginary Friend

"New Ground"... is better than the rest.

How is Darmok not in the bottom half? Shocked and stunned I was.
Because it's one of the best episodes of the entire series, silly. :)

Hero Worship
Violations
The Masterpiece Society
The Outcast
Cost of Living
The Perfect Mate
Imaginary Friend

It's getting harder now, but I think out of the remaining episodes I'll save Power Play because it's solid action episode.

The Outcast, heavy handed moralising about tolerance but I agree with the moral, I also like the Riker/Worf camaraderie.

The Masterpiece Society
Cost of Living

The Perfect Mate brought us Femke Janssen and she and Stewart had great chemistry on screen.

Hero Worship
Violations
The Masterpiece Society
Cost of Living
Imaginary Friend

"Silicon Avatar"... Crystalline Entity is kinda cool.

Hero Worship
Violations
Cost of Living
Imaginary Friend

The Masterpiece Society: Didn't have psychic rape, kids or Lwaxana Troi.

Violations
Cost of Living
Imaginary Friend

Hero Worship. It's an OK story, certainly better than the rest remaining.

Violations
Imaginary Friend

Ugh. You gotta be kidding me.

Cost of Living: THE HIGHER, THE FEWER!!!

Violations

Imaginary Friend
- it might involve Troi deciding to break a little girl's imagination but at least in doesn't have mind rape.

Fang and Pseudo on the net.

(That was the epic where I convincd you of the stupidity of communicating in metaphor yet not understanding the language used to describe the metaphor). :)
I'm afraid that this epic event that you speak of has slipped my mind. But I don't mind telling you that your narrow, literalist interpretation sadly misses the entire point of the episode. :)

Wow, another surprising result. :wtf: When S5 was good, it was very good, but when it was bad, it was very very bad. And I've always generally enjoyed Violations - the visions themselves are effectively jarring. My only real problem with it is telegraphing right from the first few minutes who the villain is.

But worse than Cost of Living? Imaginary Friend? New Ground? The Outcast? Not even close.

Fang and Pseudo on the net when the point was obvious and the execution poor.

Fang, his arms wide.

Pseudo, on the ocean.

Shaka, when the walls fell.

For what its worth, Darmok is one my favorite episodes, as well.

The Children of Tamar on a star ship in the heavens.

No wait that would have taken the use of literal language describing novel situations and abstract notions without analogue in past events.

The Children of Tamar when they couldn't develop tool use, or language.
