This is a twist on a game that is played here, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Here's the game. The basic idea is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your most favorite or the one you deem the 'best.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters before you eliminate another episode.

My favorite season of TOS -- all the years I spent trying to get into TOS, and failing, by occasionally checking out the beloved classics of seasons 1 and 2, and finding them dull and uninvolving. It was when I found the trashy "failed" eps of season 3 that I finally fell in love.

"Whom Gods Destroy" was one of those, the gonzo madness of the asylum and Garth-as-Kirk is just delightful. Also, the colorful alien palette was rarely so well utilized, visually I just love taking this one in.

I like WGD, even though Bob Justman (?) thought that this episode was just a re-hash of Dagger of the Mind.

I agree with Spock's Brain, it's a guilty pleasure of mine like Threshold, Genesis or Move Along Home.

I'll remove Day of the Dove because Michael Ansara is amazing as Kang, and I love the little team-up at the end to save the day.

I love "Turnabout Intruder" (I think it's the crazy Shatner possession I can't get enough of), and it was possibly THE episode that hooked me on TOS, as mentioned in my post above... after so many years being underwhelmed by the beloved classics, I finally watched this reviled disaster and found myself enjoying it. And that's when I started jumping around checking out other hated season 3 eps I'd never gotten around to before, and found myself legitimately into TOS for the first time.
