The Most Disliked Episode of LDS, Season 1 - 2025 Edition...

Welcome to our bi-yearly 'Most Disliked Episode' games! Now that the 'Least Disliked Episode' games hosted by BlueStuff (who inspired me to create these games, so thank you very much for paving the way) have concluded, we can begin the opposite side of that coin.

Here's the game. The basic idea is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your most favorite or the one you deem the 'best.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters before you eliminate another episode.

No tactical voting! You cannot remove an episode because you feel they would threaten your preferred episode's chance to win. Pretty simple. Enjoy!

The first season of LOWER DECKS... a very solid season. And quite honestly, until SNW came along and PRODIGY finished its first season, LOWER DECKS was BY FAR the best first season of the Kurtzman era. There's honestly a good amount of episodes to choose from to start saving.

But I'm going to start with the end, "No Small Parts".

This show does season finales extremely well, and the trend started here. Not only was the story and plot engaging, but we got the Titan debuting, complete with Riker and Troi guest starring! But the one thing that clinches this as my first save?

They made the Pakleds an actual, credible threat here. I NEVER thought it possible to make the Pakleds... THE PAKLEDS... an actual danger! And LOWER DECKS somehow managed to turn possibly the biggest joke of a species in the entire franchise (certainly from the Berman era, at the very least) into a legitimate threat.

These writers are absolutely genius.

Temporal Edict gets a lot of chuckles out of me for intense bass, do we have that many decks and Chief O'Brien as history's most important officer.

The Mariner arc in "Crisis Point" is extremely well done.

And the big reveal. "That's right, Mariner was my daughter the whole time!"

There isn't an episode of Lower Decks that I dislike, but there is a significant part of one of the episodes listed here that I don't enjoy. But it's not in "Veritas" -

It has great character beats for everyone, and really shows us just how far Mariner will go to help her friends be the best version of themselves.

Cupid's Errant Arrow. Mariner's spiralling conspiracies are worth the price of admission alone.

[Poldon]

"Second Contact" hasn't quite got the pacing down, and some of the humour goes a bit too far, but the character introductions are well done. It provides a good start to the series. I especially liked the gumming spiders.

Moist Vessell has to be my save, sarcastic vulcan salute, koala, "computer hit it" "hitting it" there's just so much on offer in this episode.

Terminal Provocations is unfortunately the winner, there wasnt really a perfect choice but one of them had to be. Now I must hide ftom Badgey.
