Game The Most Disliked Episode Directed By David Livingston

Saving "The Disease", which I recently watched and thought pretty good. Though I do wonder, given that Harry got reprimanded for one incident, how James Kirk and Will Riker weren't busted down to ensign for their... ah, activities.

I’m going to make a surprise show and go for Spirit Folk. I’m sure it’s not the most illustrious Star Trek episode on the list, but I remember it and that must count for something.

I... never would have guessed Spirit Folk would not only be saved, but saved so early on. Miracles do happen, I guess

Saving Equinox Part II for the same reason as I did Part I. There's a reason why I have a poster of them on my wall.

"Warlord" is such a good possession episode. I love Kes & Tieran warring within the same mind. A real tour de force from Jennifer Lien. Such a shame to lose her.

Spirit Folk is/was easily the worst on the list for me, though I guess it can be fun in the guilty pleasure way - drunk!

There is a bit too much going on in Playing God, but I loved Jadzia, and Trill stores were rare back then. I

Saving "Flashback" - one of the few times we see the friendship between Tuvok and Janeway, and a cool way to do a crossover/time travel episode without actual time travel.

11:59. I don’t know where people stand on a lot of Voyager episodes but I like this one. Nice to learn about Janeway’s ancestry, even if it wasn’t what she was expecting.

"IMPERFECTION" was perfect as is.

Great acting all around, and best use of Icheb in the show. Tugged at the heart strings.

I love this one. I try to watch it every year in that week between Christmas and New Years. And... I only succeed like once every four years. But I always try! :bolian:

I gotta save "The Muse" for sending Lwaxana off in style. This is one of the episodes that has really increased in appeal to me over the years, I was part of the anti-Muse brigade not too long ago, but I have come to think the Lwaxana/Odo wrap-up is really quite beautiful.

My favorite Trek podcast did THE BEST audio tribute of Lwaxana clips at the end of their pod on "The Muse." Starts at 1:12:10 at this link:

It's 2-and-a-half minutes, by the end I'm always tearing up. "Permission to disembark, Captain."

And that Jake story... well, it's directed about as well as it could be. A disgrace in terms of writing, but the cast & crew give it their all.

Well, "In the Flesh" gets a pass from me. Voyager and 8472 find out they're less bitter foes and more two very different species with a common enemy. And, nice to see a bit of Earth, and also see Chakotay having something to do.

VOY Season 5: "Nothing Human" I've saved this one before. It poses a good ethical dilemma and I like the Doctor's interactions with Moset. Plus, I like that the alien and I like that it is is brought back in a fairly interesting fashion in the Voyager relaunch book Unworthy.

Looks like it may be an Enterprise episode to ‘win’ this time around.
- Possibly. But not "The Seventh" as I'm saving it now ;)
Even though I thought T'Pol was acting more like an anxty teenager from some CW show some of the time, I liked that this episode showed how far Archer and T'Pol had come in trusting each other, and that Archer even cares for her. Also, Trip gets to be Captain, and Travis gets something to do!

It’s always a plus when Mayweather gets something to do.

Next I’m saving The Mind’s Eye, an episode chock with memorable imagery which lingers long after viewing. Plus I love those sneaky sneaky Romulans.

Ironically, "Flashback" maintains a creepy form of continuity as Janeway was looking back with ambivalence:

JANEWAY: It was a very different time, Mister Kim. Captain Sulu, Captain Kirk, Dr. McCoy. They all belonged to a different breed of Starfleet officer. Imagine the era they lived in. The Alpha Quadrant still largely unexplored. Humanity on verge of war with Klingons. Romulans hiding behind every nebula. Even the technology we take for granted was still in its early stages. No plasma weapons, no multiphasic shields. Their ships were half as fast.
KIM: No replicators, no holodecks. You know, ever since I took Starfleet history at the academy, I always wondered what it would be like to live in those days.
JANEWAY: Space must have seemed a whole lot bigger back then. It's not surprising they had to bend the rules a little. They were a little slower to invoke the Prime Directive, and a little quicker to pull their phasers. Of course, the whole bunch of them would be booted out of Starfleet today. But I have to admit, I would have loved to ride shotgun at least once with a group of officers like that.

I know, I'm still in the ICU over how VOY could maintain consistency for once...:nyah::guffaw:

Saving "THE NAGUS".

The scene with Quark homaging THE GODFATHER alone is worth the save, never mind the fact it's a fun episode.

Plus, Jake traching Nog to read, and Sisko with him at the end. Just gold.

Dang, how did this one languish for so long? It's a nice take on kidnap/espionage tropes that has some nice moments. The handling of shadow-agent Tasha was pretty cool too.

Looking at the list of the winners of this year's contests, I mustn't have been around during the start, when the two-parter one was going on. I saw Flesh and Blood was the winner, which surprised me. Or were most people thinking that the Doctor had been overplayed by that point?

The setup is an obvious victim of VOY continuity - hey, let's bring that race to do a follow-up story, even though we should be long past that region of space anyway! ;) Yet, the issue of holographic rights was one that was well done in the episode, and I like that they followed it up in Author, Author. I thought it was a more interesting use of holograms than Fair Haven.

Flesh and Blood, Part II is saved, anyway.

I'm fine with them running in to the Hirogen at that point - the Hirogen probably hunt over massive distances and the communications array went all the way to the Beta Quadrant - perhaps the Hirogen travelled over all that territory. I just think Flesh and Blood would have worked better if it wasn't a two part episode.
