David Livingstone was such a good director for Star Trek.

The Die is Cast is part two of my favorite DS9 two-parters. Poor Odo! And I loved how the Changelings pull the wool over the Cardassian/Romulan fleet. Sisko coming with the Defiant to rescue Odo led to some great action scenes as well.

My first save in this game and I'm torn between an ENT episode (can you guess which one? ) and a DS9 ep. However, although I've watched the ENT episode more times, "Doctor Bashir, I Presume" is my favourite of the two, mainly for the heartbreaking scene in Sisko's office with Bashir and his parents (especially his mum ), but also because I really like the reveal about Bashir, and Rom's dithering over declaring his feelings to Leeta.

I'll save the episode about the Brain-Sucking Slut Shuttle From Another Dimension (*) a.k.a. Alice.

Not exceptional by any means, but enjoyable enough for an hour or so of mindless TV fun. After all those haunting experiences Starfleet people people have gone through (being transformed into animals, being assimilated, being taken over by aliens, alien viruses, alien computers or other alien devices), you'd expect them to be incredibly wary about interacting with alien technology with unknown neural interfaces, and hook them up to all kind of diagnostic arrays first before you allow them access to your brain. But no, I suppose that being naïve is part of the Starfleet job as much as 'weird' is part of the job.

I'll save "Infinite Regress." Jeri Ryan is so good in this one. On the Delta Flyers podcast recently, Robbie was talking about how she only got the script a day before, and she had no pre-existing familiarity with Klingons & Ferengi and had to just throw those performances together with no prep time, which blows my mind -- and is also criminally incompetent producing, a script like this you really need to get to the talent earlier to have any expectation it's going to work out. Yet she totally delivered anyway! SHE IS SO TALENTED.
