I get why everyone else thinks it's trash, but I always have fun with "Unexpected." Trip is a fun character to watch squirm, especially early Trip, who was such a jerk.

Thank god they had Scott Bakula and Connor Trineer to play these extremely off-putting roles, I can't imagine how much worse Enterprise would be with other actors there.

It was a nice early look at Chapel's backstory, and Sherry Jackson was just gorgeous.

I know. It's just that I usually choose Berman Trek episodes. Just personal preference.

Yes, the dog was awesome. A lot of one-off characters on LD are, actually. Cyber-Weyoun was another one.

 

PRO #4: "Terror Firma" a good character development episode for Gwyn, nice scary visuals (for a kids's show), and HoloJaneway got to sit in the captain's chair and be totally badass, like her progenitor.

is saved. A great story where Uhura takes command and in a storyline that's not just watchable but good.

"Ask Not" really is just a bit of nothing, probably the most disappointing of all the Short Treks.

In recent years, I have really turned around on "Shades Of Grey." Now that all Berman Trek is a rerun, a clip show no longer rankles. I also have a particularly strong love of TNG seasons 1 & 2, so a greatest hits compilation has a lot of appeal.

The Search Part II, totally deserves saving for its mind-blowing revelation about the Dominion, and the terrible truth regarding Odo's people.

I LOVE season 4 of Disco, but "The Examples" is the dog episode that year. Clever premise at the core of it, but everything after the basic premise is a very unfortunate misfire.

That lead prisoner is insufferable, the endless yammering of "we won't allow you to rescue us unless you jump through all these hoops and listen to all my long, boring speeches." My family was yelling at the TV: fine, just leave them to die already! It was so stupid.

Also, how they hell did they make this entire episode all about incarceration without once touching on or alluding to the fact that Burnham began this series by receiving a life sentence for her crimes! And, of course, she has essentially saved the entire universe five times since then, so thank god for mercy. Using that part of her backstory was the way to give this story some juice! I can't believe they just slid right by it without comment.

OK, we got winners from Enterprise, Short Treks, and Discovery this thread, there's some nice variety. Every series is now on the winners board -- except the one that premiered only three weeks ago. And still no movies.

Thank god Enterprise has now tied DS9 for total wins! It just feels wrong with DS9 as the leader!

The only list in this thread to be played before was "47th Episode Of A Series," and the 2020 winner of that was "The Immunity Syndrome."

Next one will go up Sunday night/Monday morning. I'm a little torn what's next, probably either "The Most Disliked Guinan Appearance" or "The Most Disliked Seventh Season Episode" (everyone's always beating up on those last seasons! so dumping them all together for a game to see what happens...)

I remember when Voyager was winning (losing) this contest, but it got zoomed past in a big way.

 

Thanks for organising this. Season seven isn't my least favourite of TNG, DS9 or VOY.

 

I hope we'll eventually get both.

 

Of the three it was probably TNG that had run out of gas the most in S7. I try and imagine how things would have gone down if it had ended in season 6, as I believe that was a possibility back in the day.

VOY was just an inconsistent series, so at least it was consistent at that during its final year.

DS9 was easily the best, yet had some bad points as well, like too much Ezri, the mediocre last episode for Section 31, the poor last episode for the Mirror Universe, and some of the Dukat/Pah Wraith story was a bit cliche.

Obviously YMMV.

 

Well, it was basically Season 14 of TNG at that point.
