The Most Annoying Scene EVER Award Goes To...

"Allamaraine count to four./Allamaraine then three more./Allamaraine if you can see./Allamaraine you'll come with me" ;)

To be fair in that scene, you can tell even Nana Visitor was struggling with that scene.

And howcum Gamma Quadrant aliens' ancient rituals rhyme in English? Hm?

^That is a great scene.

JANEWAY: Computer, display Fair Haven character Michael Sullivan. Adjust his parameters to the following specifications. Give him the education of a nineteenth century third year student at Trinity College.
COMPUTER: Modification complete.
JANEWAY: Now, access the character's interactive subroutines. Make him more provocative.
COMPUTER: Specify.
JANEWAY: Give him a more complicated personality.
COMPUTER: Specify.
JANEWAY: More outspoken, more confident, not so reserved, and make him more curious about the world around him.
COMPUTER: Modification complete.
JANEWAY: Good. Now, increase the character's height by three centimetres. Remove the facial hair. No, no, I don't like that. Put some back. About two days' growth. Better. Oh, one more thing. Access his interpersonal subroutines, familial characters. Delete the wife.

:techman:

For me, it's the opening scene of Voyager's "Macrocosm" where Neelix is negotiating with the Tak-Tak. Whenever I watch that scene, my mind is torn between thinking... "What in the..." and cringing. I know it's a form of communication, but it is bizarre.

Oh, and those C/7 scenes in "Endgame". Chakotay's "I want to make sure it's in transporter range of you" is like being forced to swallow a bucket of sugar. It's just too cheesy and unrealistic for my tastes.

During the TV series:
Anytime Kirk sleazed over a woman.

Anytime Wesley saved the day.

Time wasted on Pulaski.

The moment Neelix appeared on screen (with the knowledge that he wasn't going to die in the next scene).

Anytime Seven saved the day.

Everytime Archer opened him mouth.

And for the films:
Taking forever to switch on the lights around the Enterprise in TMP.

Attempts at humour or bad language in TVH (sorry, but always makes me cringe).

All of TFF.

Uhura not being able to speak Klingon in TUC.

Data's "Oh Shit" in GEN.

'Slow things down' in INS.

In NEM: Wesley back in uniform with no explanation, Worf back in uniform with no explanation, the driving scene, Troi having to use Worf's hand to target weapons (she could have done it just as easily herself), B-4 becoming Data 2.0.

Any scene where there were camera flares in Nu-Trek.

"Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream . . . ."

Thank God there was a sixth movie, so that STAR TREK did not end with an embarrassing singalong around a campire! :)

I love V. It's wonderfully camp and chock full of intentional and unintentional hilarity. It's like a box of candies full of odd surprises and unexpected greatness.

Caithlin Dar..

the Fan dance..

"I liked him better BEFORE he died!"

"Be one with the horse."

The Big Three camaraderie at its best I think! It's like they were given free rein to just have a ball together.

I've got one of my favorite exchanges in my sig.

You should watch it again!

While it was dramatically effective, and I would never argue for it to be edited out, surely we can all agree that the "Bonk, bonk on the head" TOS scene in "Miri" is truly annoying?
Kirk: "No more BLAH BLAH BLAH!"
Naah, I liked those. :techman:

Emotion-chip Data in Generations, though? Seriously, seriously annoying. Holodoc and Neelix on VOY were sometimes annoying too, but there you at least got the idea that it was intended to be so; with Data, it felt more like a misbegotten idea gone horribly wrong. (Or Spiner given free rein - one of those.)

Most of the TNG specifically the ones with the character who'd later become the villain (I'm thinking of "Sub-Rosa" and "Man of the People," especially).

This scene. There's just something wrong with an Englishmen, playing a Frenchmen, and expressing pride in the French flag in an English ascent:

For me, it goes to Rom hollering WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIT in the DS9 season 5 episode Doctor Bashir, I Presume.
That scene just gets on my last good nerve.
Okay, now I wanna hear from you what scene from which Trek series gets on your last good nerve.

Haha, I remember that scene.

There were many scenes with Rom in DS9 & Troi in TNG that were epically unbearable....
