We didn't go to the moon and airliners did not fly into the WTC even though I was staring at the tv when the second plane hit and I saw it with my own eyes, but it never happened.
No single country can "Claim the Moon" as it's governed by the Outer Space Treaty..

Who said it was "your moon" (I assume you mean the USA) to begin with? Just because Neil Armstrong stuck the US flag on the moons surface doesn't mean jack. The moon is Earth's only natural satellite, the key there is "Earth's" it belongs to this planet and cannot be governed by one nation, just like the entire planet cannot be ruled over by one nation (it could and has happened before, but it won't happen anymore).
Besides the Russians are pretty honourable people who are deeply invested in the co-operative space program, just as much as anyone else (including the USA). So many people still consider Russia to be untrustworthy, its not really fair.
