What force is that? How can it be scientifically explained?I've always viewed the mirror universe as having some strange negative force within it that has influenced the development of everything.

How? How do you explain it?It can be scientifically explained in the same way that the Q are.
Q is a god.You explain Q then I'll explain a universe with a negative force running through it.
Q is a god.
Yes, but we are finding out what that reason is.I've long thought that people who insist on a specific "point of divergence" for the Mirror Universe are missing the point. It's not an alternate timeline, it's a parallel universe. And things are more evil there for whatever reason.
Does it matter?Yes, but we are finding out what that reason is.

How would it not, more to the point? The why (or how) matters more then the what.Does it matter?

I don't think we want to go there. But what keeps making my undies dirty?
One, science cannot explaim midichlorians. Two, we are discussing Star Trek, not bad Star Wars.Midichlorians?
It doesn't make a damn bit of difference to me. Mirror Universe storylines are about all the nefarious goings-on in the evil universe, not about some nonsensical and made-up reason why that universe might be different. I can't imagine a less appealing story, quite frankly. How would it not, more to the point? The why (or how) matters more then the what.
