I didn't believe the hero could look at a dead body and tell the man was gay. I didn't believe he wouldn't use more prompts (generalized guesses from the psychic that an eager victim seizes upon and unconsciously corrects.) Unfortunately, I did believe that a Christian would also believe in her spiritualist psychic cousin, without being aware that would qualify as sinful and ungodly. But that kind of unpleasant person is altogether common and doesn't need to visit my living room. I don't think I'm going for this one. Any dissents?

I haven't seen it but I plan to catch it on Friday. The promo grabbed me and I'm fascinated by the lead character and his mental acuity.

I really enjoyed "The Mentalist", but then again, I always enjoy eccentric main characters. Which is why this show, and "Life" are two of my favorites this season.

You forgot to add that this show is already on...it's called Psych. The Mentalist is just recycling Psych for the bigger network. I like Psyche. I say the Mentalist should die a quick death.

So is the Mentalist just Psych without the humor? And with a hot leading man? Not enough for me to take on another tv show.
