The Melting Pot

I'm thinking, a melting pot in Paris must be more tense due to these laws, but I don't know, this thread was about multicultralism and the President said England started the freedom in which that propspers back in 1215 and that's why America is soo great and whatever... I like it, I'm not going to lie, that speech was like music to my ears... But yeah, I like that about where I live. -- I know I'm not on my own in likeing diversity though, I just think asimulation can go too far. - We sing God Save the Queen - that's it. (Also, you have to speak English too, but that's just so you're able to live and work in the UK, and even then, that just applies to people wishing to study/work here, those claiming asylum don't have to because they're already granted entry/stay here for being an Asylum Seeker anyway.)
you have to speak English too
Must be really hard for you, then. :(
Seriosuly now. Is that all you read? Didn't you even try to grasp what I was saying?

I know it's not just the UK... I'm just saying it's founded different here, for example, Atalia only has 1 'ethinic minority' MP. (in 2008)

I've gone all red/blushed that you laugh at that, I'll run to google after...

Well why not? -- It makes sense darn it! :)

Google edit. *Italia... Should have paid more attention to your avatar... For authentication I typed Roma, It.. and Italia came up.

**I think I'm going to start refering to Germany as Deutschland and Italy, Italia... Because until 5 minutes ago, I thought Italy in Italian was Atalia, but it's Italia... I already call Ireland Eire too, I should do that with all the European Countries... Seems like a Melty Pot type of thing to do, and it'll improve my vocabulary... :)

You've confused the Sheldon

Why is he spraying your thread? This picture makes no sense

Doubt what? What are you talking about? Are you telling me that Anti Social Behavier Orders are like Muslim Women in France wearing the Veil?

This is the only time a Muslim women would ever get an ASBO in the UK for wearing her Veil.

"boobs"

Can't you see why your comparison of the Police enforcing the law against what we do in our social time and that law in France and Belguim; is false.

Posting nudity is not allowed on the board. That has earned you an infraction. Please don't do it again. Thank you.

It's exactly my thought. Paris is also a busy place but it's also a place of pleasure. When I'm back from London, sitting at a café doing nothing except drinking is like a luxury.

I did find Paris to be a lively place, but more relaxed than London. I intend to return someday.

Unfortunately the rest of this thread seems to have degenerated greatly. I'm not sure what's going on again...

I'd suggere you to walk randomly and get lost in Paris. It's one of the best way to feel the city :)

Nothing, we found a "genius" ;)

No one knows what's going on. It's part of the fun.

Also, Paris is great. (And actually, the people there were really nice to me for some reason. They even answered back in flawless English when I talked French to them. Ok, that probably means my French is really, really bad.)

I too found people receptive to my attempts at French and quite patient, even when I was inarticulate. Sometimes I got a response in English and other times response in French. Like I always say making an effort in the local lingo will get rewards. I got a lot of respec' in Turkey for using Turkish; most fun was doing some haggling with an older gentleman in the Grand Bazaar who didn't speak English.

Are we melting the pot into a bowl of hash browns? because I am sure that is was and will be way off topic, :P
