The Meaning of Life Discovered

It actually is very curious as to why the universe favors one kind of matter but not another kind. You would think, all things being equal, there would be identical amounts of both, or at least no intrinsic bias of one over the other.

All things are, apparently, not equal. It will be interesting to see if they can figure out why.

I always figured that when the big bang boomed, matter went left and antimatter went right. But that's just me.

"It's nothing very special: Try and be nice to people, avoid eating fat, read a good book every now and then, get some walking in, and try and live together in peace and harmony with people of all creeds and nations."

Because _nothing_ is perfect, there are slight flaws in everything, even time. So it wasn't possible for there to be an exact balance of matter and anti-matter.

At least that's the explanation that Steven Hawking gave in his show.

We had an interesting discussion about this in my college astronomy class. I just sort of figured that maybe all the "leftover" antimatter went someplace else but the teacher said that antimatter does give off a certain kind of radiation that we can pick up. Hmm...Antimatter universe, maybe?
