The Matrix 4

It looks like the official title might have leaked thanks to a now deleted Instagram post by one of the movies hairstylists. If this is real, then the title is The Matrix Resurrections. I like that they are sticking to the R titles after Reloaded and Revolutions.
I read that too along with the basic plot of the movie from the trailer.
Neo and Trinity are in the Matrix again with no memory of their former lives but Neo starts to have flash backs to his previous one.

As a HUGE fan of the trilogy, and one of the few people who consider the sequels to be every bit as good as the original movie, I'll be there on opening night.

^ The sequels are absolutely just as good as the first film, and the trilogy as a whole ranks as one of my favorite Superhero franchises ever, so I'll definitely be seeing this one in a theater as quickly as I can (it probably won't be on Opening Day due to my work schedule, though).

The sequels were total crap and the Wachowski's have gotten much worse since then, but I will still be watching on HBO as soon as it comes out.

Oh...

Is it possible that Neo and Trinity exist only virtually in the Matrix? Or are they really back, in flesh and blood?

Neo had powers that made the transition from Matrix to the real world. So, maybe a resurrection inside the Matrix can make the transition to the real world, at least in his case? Just speculating.

I am a fan of the trilogy as a whole and still believe that it is thematically and symbolically brilliant as a piece of film making. It was also ahead of its time in terms of presenting an ethnically diverse society. Its religious symbolism, incorporating both Christian and Hindu elements, was inspired and its commentary on our relationship with technology is only more poignant today. I'm sure I'll get laughed at (again) for my opinion, but I am really looking forward to the new movie.

I liked the original, although I admit I was a bit put off by the apparent implication that Morpheus and his ilk were out to forcibly wake up everyone from the Matrix whether they wanted it or not.

As for the sequels: They confused the living piss out of me.
