What's interesting is those first reactions come from people who have been gjven free tickets explicitly to drum up publicity and even they seem to boil down to, "The cast were good."

So the Professional Leakers actually got something right for once.

Why would that be the case? I mean the point about a multiverse is that you have multiple versions of a character with no recast.
Also there is still some good feeling for many of these characters so I would guess they see it beneficial in the same way bring back the older Spider-Men. Moreover, I would think also the public will want to see these versions interact with Chris Evans and RDjr after they throw money at them.
TL/DR
- a follow up to Captain Marvel and Ms Marvel (for the main story)
- a fun character team up
- building blocks for a "New" Avengers and "Alternate Reality/X-Men" universe?
Thoughts
- decent follow up Captain Marvel's first movie and continuation of Ms Marvel series/arc.
- the character arcs at first glance make sense, the plot mostly too (didn't think about it too much).
- the characters - main, recuring, guest or otherwise were good with the exception of the villainess.
- the villainess has a somewhat relatable reason for doing what she does, but is otherwise bland, even the pasty makeup, and forgetable.
- the showdown thankfully doesn't drag too much in length - no 20minutes firework spectacle "we can('t) make VFX while overrworking our artists and under timecrunch" - something a lot of other Marvel movies could do well to copy.
- VFX was fine - didn't notice anything glaring
- Actually enjoyed the earlier fight choreos and scenes much more however - maybe also due to the switching-hijinks.
- Captain Marvel, Ms Marcel and Rambeau being light-power-linked and their whole "WTF, oh no/oh yes, then becoming a team" back and forth was enjoyable and the best part of the movie. Enjoyed their scenes a lot - even the "girlie" lasso jumping - while training.
- Iman Vellani - again - steals the show, she's such a bundle of joy IRL (from what I've seen of her) and in the movie as Kamala Khan/Miss Marvel nerding out. She's a fantastic "vessel" for lots of Comic/Nerd/Marvel fans in the audience too.
- the unexpected "Bollywood" prince - musical culture mash up was kinda fun, something different for once.
- Kamala's family was fun, but a bit overused during the middle/towards the end
- Fury was somewhat competent and ok.
- the Flerken(s) had a special job - got my biggest laughs - I won't spoil that however.
- Wonder how this movie fits with he Secret Invasion series (which I haven't seen), timeline and character wise tough?
the ending scenes were
1) Kamala being a "Fury Jr" waiting in the shadow of an appartment and telling Kate Bishop with Pizza-dog she wants her on her team. Also rambling something about Ant-Man's daughter. (Haven't seen that movie)
2) Captain Rambeau waking up in a hospital bed of sorts, seeing her "Mom" and a blue hairy big guy with glasses (X-Men?). Her "Mom" wore auniform I don't know and didn't seem to know/remember her. Maybe she's this universe Captain "Marvel"?
the big blue hairy guy with glasses mumbed something about "realities, which shouldn't be possible" I think.

Not looking good for the RT score: Currently sits at 53%, which is the third-worst of any MCU film (only Eternals and Quantumania rated lower).
I'd love to have been in the room when they decided that what the world was waiting for was for them to bring right-wing asshole Kelsey Grammer to the MCU.

"blue harry guy with glasses" is Beast from the X-Men. Her "mom" was wearing the costume Carol Danvers wore in the comics when she was going by the name "Binary"
It's kinda ironic in a movie that was from the start with casting attacked for being 'too woke' has probably the 'least woke' person associated with the Marvel franchise in the past 20 years as a cameo.
Eric Voss on New Rockstars is one of the few YouTubers whose opinion I trust and he liked it for the most part. He says it's not a "great" movie but it's a very, very fun movie. "Goofy" is another word he used. Iman Velani as Kamala Khan and the flerkins more than make up for any of the movies shortcomings, and he does not shy away from listing those in his review. He also provides a dose of perspective in the middle of all this Doom and gloom for Marvel Studios nonsense.
I'm still looking forward to seeing it. Probably twice, as I will probably see it again with a friend and her daughter whom which I saw the first Captain Marvel with.

I liked both of those movies. They are not among my top films, but far from the bottom for me.
