Getting it wrong once is understandable.

But they already cast Majors as 50 thousand different Kangs.

There's no coming back from the wrongitudity of this mass cock up.

Embrace Doom.

His love will get you through the coldest nights, even in the real world.
I don't know if I'd say they got it wrong, when he was cast he seemed like a great choice. It's only later that they found out what he's really like.

Finally got round to watching it. Out of all the movies to still ideas from, they picked Spaceballs? :)
That planet really needed a air shield. With a lock combination that no one would guess.

The mid credit scene was okay but I feel like they should have done something like this years earlier. It would have been more impactful.

To be clear - I'm not saying that no Superhero films will be made but rather that they are no longer the juggernaut they have been to this point. Spider-man, Batman (and related) films will still get churned out but $300 million making a movie about Bueno Excellente? no.

For Marvel, the idea that people will turn out for MCU films is now over - they would have worked out that Captain Marvel would cost X and it would make between a certain range. That model has been blown up. Deadpool is an oddity for all sorts of reasons so the big test is Captain America - how many people turn out for that? They now have no idea.
We now know...

It is insane how much worse this movie did compared to its first one. A massive 82% decrease in value. I can’t think of any other sequel performing that bad.

Looks like Joker 2 takes that honor in terms of comic book movies with a staggering -82.1% drop in it's second week. The Marvels is #35 at -78.1%. Star Trek: Nemesis is # 56 on the list at -76.2%. :bolian:

I don’t mean weekend drops. I mean overall worldwide totals
It was the first MCU film after Avengers: Infinity War (which teased the Captain Marvel ligo on Nicholas Fury's pager at the end), so I'm sure that boosted its Box Office take as not everyone was looking at trailers or devouring spoilers about thr film, so I'm sure many went to see it to maybe get some more story continuation from Infinity War at some point in the 1st Captain Marvel film.

There was no such 'carrot' leading up to The Marvels, and the D+ series leading into it was the lowest watched too.
