Yeah, I have heard of Mass Effect but never played it. As far as computer games go, pretty much the farthest I get is Solitaire (or, if I'm especially daring, Mah-jongg ).

I almost didn't recognize Leslie Nielsen in the lower left. I only DID recognize him because of the uniform!

(Interestingly, the TAS version of April was voiced by James Doohan, so there's another instance of two different versions of the same character both being performed by a Canadian!)

If they do one, I wonder which version of the bridge theyll use - the one from DSC (which has that corridor around the outer edge) or the SNW version.

(I prefer the DSC version. I hope it hasn't been decanonized! )

Last month, the Centre for Future Work said grocers were expected to make more than $6 billion in 2023 — a new record and an increase of eight per cent from 2022. The new data from the institute found food retailers are now earning more than twice as much profit as they did before the COVID-19 pandemic.

Using data from Statistics Canada, the report found the net income margin on food and beverage retailing has consistently exceeded three per cent of total revenues since mid-2021, more than double the average margin between 2015 and 2019.

The organization says the data suggests retailers took advantage of the pandemic and its aftermath to increase profits.

Saw an article the other day that during out a regular hockey game broadcast you'll see about 20mins of online gamlbing related material.

They're getting so fucking invasive, it's not just the ad but in the on-air commentary and then in the pre-game shows they finish up with what the bookies are saying and the various odds.

And it's a load of crap. Saw game between the Senator and leafs in Ottowa at the end of 2022 and yeah marner was odds on to get a hat trick etc. The big names failed to score and the game when to a shoot out which the leafs won because the senators weren't good taking shots.

As to the groundhogs and their predictions, the star had a report the other dayt the farmers almanac was predicting a long the normal winter.

And not just hockey broadcasts either, but I find I'm seeing a lot more gambling related ads, either on TV in general or on Streaming, and I don't remember them being so pervasive in the past. I wonder if something in the regulations changed, but it's frankly both disturbing and disgusting to see so much of a push towards gambling. The worst part is that it's all promoted via the OLG. It feels like how cigarettes were advertised in the past.
