Spoilers The Mandalorian season 2 discussion

We can see him on the barge in the movie... I guess he jumped off at some point not shown on screen? That’s the explanation I plan to rely on if Bossk ever turns up.

Another good thing about this last episode was the "You're not Mandalorian / Never said I was" bit, reinforcing Fett's canonical non-Mando lineage. Glad they finally got that sorted out. Was starting to get a little muddy there.

Although I too am a bit confused about this whole, "you need to fight for it" deal with the Dark Saber. It seems that the writers are trying desperately to reconcile many years of various EU backstories about the Mandalorians and have painted themselves into a bit of a corner with all the cross-wired canon. I fear they're falling quickly into the ever-present Trekkian retconning trap because of this. Still a good story, though. Sad that we'll have to wait a full year for what comes next. Hopefully they'll do the cameos and callbacks more sparingly next season and let the show stand on its own a little more.

I sincerely hope they move on from Googone. He was super cute, but . . . they told that story. I loved it, it came to an end. Nice. Done. Now move on.

Like they should do with Picard.

If they keep the vibe/feel of this show and tell a different tale, I am so in.

The dark saber conundrum is the next story most likely.

Picard never reached the heights that this show has in story or special effects. They really dropped the ball on Picard and frankly Discovery. The creators of the mandalorian understand the Star Wars fandom the creators of trek don’t understand what the fans want so we get what we get.

They were? I need to check it again.

Luke probably wouldn’t have allowed it. The ball represents that emotional tie with Dinn that Ashoka believed would lead to the dark side for Grogu. Luke has a major uphill battle to train him and I fear it won’t end well.

True. Luke is still brainwashed by Jedi dogma at this point so it would have been a no no.

We'll probably get a scene at the beginning of season 3 with Din holding the ball and being depressed while mellow Mando music plays.

Was Luke brainwashed, er, conditioned though? He had brief training with Kenobi and a little more with Yoda, but he didn't live for years immersed in the Jedi way with the Jedi all around him. I can understand Asoka clinging to old, outdated, and flawed thinking since that was what she was the environment that indoctrinated her.

He probably communed with all the dead Jedi who were able to astrally project (Yoda, Obi Wan, Anakin, Qui Gonn, etc.), assisting him in completing the training. They obviously led him to the ancient books that supplemented his existing knowledge. Lots of ways he could have ranked up. :)

Yeah, it's not really being brainwashed. More romanticizing an era and sticking with what he knows.

Wow x1000. If we had a voting thread this one would go to effin' 20!

The TWO characters that showed up at the end....
you had to know who it was as soon as you saw the X-Wing
