Spoilers The Mandalorian season 2 discussion

Did Katee's Mandos have beskar? It didn't seem like it, especially during the firefight.

Was beskar even mentioned during the TCW series?

When Din says he's been quested to return The Child to "its kind", he's talking about the Jedi, not the unnamed species that characters like Yoda and Yaddle are a part of.

When they talk about getting the child to the Jedi, I can't help but wonder why no one mentions the farmboy-shaped elephant in the room.

(if the rumors are true) they cast Rosario Dawson, who is still involved in a lawsuit involving her and her mother allegedly assaulting a trans man. That combined with Gina Carano being an absolute psychopath in real life has kind of put a shadow over this season of The Mandalorian.
Huh? I've heard about the lawsuit, and waiting to see if there is anything, what about Gina? All I've heard is she isn't participating in the pronoun thingy. And that she supports some toughening of election rules ( you've got to admit, this one has been a crapfest..) How does that make one a psychopath? Honestly, just wondering.

Anyone else notice this Apollo 13 homage?

Yes, but not by that name. It was called Mandalorian Steel IIRC.
I can't wait to see if that was actually intentional or just a spacecraft doing a re-entry...........only so many ways to show it. Fans see SOME things that aren't there sometimes. Really enjoyed the Disney Gallery show last year with their round table discussions.

I mean, her father did direct apollo 13, so it isn’t completely out of left field that she could have referenced his work.

It's possible yes, but I'd just like her to confirm. He also directed Mermaid, Solo, Cocoon........Storyboards and animatics are usually done very early.

Ackbar's cousin (the waiter) said "others with Beskar have been through here".

Where to start....

It's surreal seeing Clone Wars characters come to life in live action. That was awesome and the episode was shot beautifully. I really liked Katee Sackhoff in nBSG, I think she is a wonderful actress and deserves a role on a high profile show like this. Yes, Bo Katan looks a bit younger than I imagined but if you watch Katee's youtube channel you'll see she's done cryotherapy and taken vitamin shots with Tricia Helfer. I'm sure the Star Wars universe has the equivalent anti aging/beauty treatments that poor Boba doesn't have access to on Tatooine. There's no way in hell Bo Katan is not getting her own spin off show or mini series after the way they introduced them here.

I love how Mando is of a different creed to these Mandalorians and has such differing opinions on their homeworld. Even just standing next to these Mandalorians he is of a different stature. It's pretty sweet.

I like that Baby Yoda maybe learned a lesson about the eggs when he saw them hatch. Yeah, I'm continuing this argument and by the way, I'm not taking this as seriously as some of you seem to view it.

Going back to the Ahsoka stuff, the rumours saying that Rosario Dawson is playing Ahsoka also said Sasha Banks would be playing Sabine and that turned out to be wrong. So who knows.

Huh. It seemed as if only Djarin acted like his armor could withstand blaster fire.

I mean, her father did direct apollo 13, so it isn’t completely out of left field that she could have referenced his work.

That beginning, watching the ship drop from that angle, really made me think of Serenity. Coupled with the going around to various planets without hyperdrive thing, it's starting to feel a bit like Firefly...

Considering the rapid-fire blasters still knocked him down at the end even without penetrating his armor, I'd say the caution by Bo's group was warranted, especially if they didn't have grenades they could use to cover the last of the distance after they got shot down in the corridor.

No, they didn't.

No credible entertainment news entity at any point claimed or even remotely suggested that Mercedes (Sasha Banks) was going to be playing Sabine.

That was purely fan speculation and wishful thinking.

Is there precedent for different qualities of the armor?

Razor Crest does resemble Serenity somewhat.

Different kind of Mandalorions was really cool to see and creates depth to a fictional culture. Something scifi/fantasy often lacks.

@Set Harth I felt the same thing, watching the Crest drop like that!!

@Saul I agree. The Child has no moral compass of right or wrong just yet and is learning. As humans, we eat eggs and many peope on our world have chosen not to because they CAN become life. Perhaps to The Child it was simply a form of food at first and now seeing them become life, it learned something about what is and is not food.
I don't know, I'm an omnivore and only dated a vegan for a few months. What do I know.
