Spoilers The Mandalorian season 2 discussion

If anything, now that he knows that the Children of the Watch are a fringe cult, and not the majority of Mandalorians, I could see him eventually abandoning it's precepts and joining up with other Mandalorians.

So if like me - you only watch the live action shows (and that will be a lot of the audience) - that scene plays in a slightly different way - it's not clear why we should trust what these unknown characters are saying.

I don't trust the Mandalorians period.

Why would he suddenly believe he's part of a 'fringe cult' just because some woman who claims Mandalorian heritage (while obviously IGNORING what TRUE Mandalorians follow) shows up and pretty much mocks and belittles everything he's been brought up to believe and further, he has seen put into usable practice (remember he was part of a Mandalorian group at the start and EARNED each piece of armor he owns by following 'The Way') his entire life?

It's not something that is going to happen right away, but it felt like it could be the start of a long arc that eventually leads to him abandoning the precepts of the Children and joining up with the mainstream Mandalorians at the end of the show. Obviously this one encounter isn't going to take him all the way to that endgame, but with all of the stuff with Gideon, Bo-Katan, and the Darksaber, I have feeling this won't be Din's last encounter with the mainstream Mandos, and if he keeps running into them I could see him starting to respect them more, and maybe reconsider his devotion to The Children of The Watch.

I truly am hoping not. It would be interesting drama to see the conflict between the two groups of thought.

That is insane. I know they tend to charge more for tie-ins like this, but that seems excessive.

I'm not buying any, and I'm notorious for buying more Lucasfilm-licensed shit than some entire countries.

They also have a $50 pack of macarons with Star Wars characters stenciled on them, while a set of 12 "normal" macarons is "only" $40, all of which has led to me confronting the fact that, since I don't care for macarons (well, I don't care for coconut, and macarons usually include coconut), I have no idea what a fair price is for one. "It's one macaron, Mando, what could it cost, four dollars?"

It's a reasonable price for high quality fresh macarons from a name baker, but not for something mass-produced.

A boutique/craft baker in my area charges $25 for a variety package of ten macarons.

Yeah, my friend does her's custom made $30 for a dozen, and she makes different flavors and fillings for a wide variety of people. So, the price doesn't surprise.

Does he know that, or does he know she said that?
B/c I don't know which is true, myself.

I checked on Amazon and they have a 24 pack for US$39.95, which comes out to $1.66 each.

Wow, I didn't realize high end macarons were that expensive. I don't think I've ever had one.

Often times they are custom made, and very sensitive to different allergies and the like, so it takes a little bit more work. I shared this with her to give her inspiration for the next round :D
