Spoilers The Mandalorian season 2 discussion

Not really, no. Hasbro has been hit and miss with what figures they have been doing, with a lot of repeats in different lines. The diversity of their line up took a hit for a bit, especially during TLJ and TROS.

I do wonder if they will correct that with the emphasis on the Mandalorian right now.
I thought it might be something like that, but when I looked it up, the Clone Wars line seemed fairly filled out. They even had Pre Vizla and "Random Death Watch Mandalorian Warrior". Still, you'd think it would have been a no-brainer for the Rebels line since they already had Sabine. Repaint and slap a new head on her; job done!

Although I did collect original kenner figures back in the 90's (yes, I regret getting rid of them!) I honestly don't usually follow this sort of thing. I guess I just assumed that since TCW went on so long the toy line was doing well and thus was probably scaping the barrel with 5 million clone trooper repaints by the end.

But yeah, after showing up in live action, I rather expect her to get a Black Series figure before too long.

And Hasbro has already revealed action figures from the series even though we have yet to see even a sneak preview from its production. Two Clones from the Bad Batch in the 6" Black Series line.
They came from Season 7 of clone wars, and their product description mentions that show.

"Fans and collectors can imagine scenes from the Star Wars Galaxy with this premium Bad Batch Crosshair toy, inspired by the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series."

With the new modeling technique they have I would be surprised if they are not doing a 6 inch Black Series for her soon. Yeah, it was a weird oversight to be sure and

But, Hasbro has been weirdly mishandling the Star Wars Line for a bit and only now feels like they are back in full force to increase their line up.

Yeah, I'm really surprised she hasn't gotten one yet. You'd think as much as people love the Mandalorians they'd put out every possible Mandalorian figure possible. Are they usually pretty good about putting out action figures of the female characters, beyond the main heroes like Ahsoka, Padme, Leia, and Rey?

Aphra got two, Jaina managed to get one as well as Mara Jade. Most of the female Jedi got figures as well.

I kind of wondered why Mando didn't protest a little more when Bo-Katan invoked the "This is the Way" phrase, since her faction's "Way" was obviously not the same as what he had (mistakenly) known most of his life to be the only orthodox Mandalorian "Way."

Well 1) she was mocking his sect's dogma, and 2) it's not like he had any choice.

Speaking of figures: you know I literally just found out today (not surprisingly because I don't keep track of this stuff) that there's NEVER been a Bo-Katan figure?
I just did a search on a whim, never even occurred to me that there wouldn't be one. I mean, this is Star Wars! *Everyone* up to and including random background characters get at least one figure, no? Well, no, apparently not Bo-Katan. Anyone else think that's just such a bizarre oversight, especially considering she popped up in two animated shows no less?

According to action figure leaks, Bo is in the pipeline. If it's a TCW-Bo, or one from The Mandalorian is unknown, however. I sure as hell hope, she comes with an unmasked head and a Katee Sackhoff likeness.

And no, this isn't about "It's a woman!". Hasbro is just super slow most of the time. It took them almost five years to complete the Rebels Crew and that's just six characters.

But they're in Bad Batch-specific packaging which was the surprise.

That is damned weird. Granted, I haven't really paid attention to action figures, Star Wars or otherwise for over a decade now, but from what I remember back in the day, everyone in Star Wars has an action figure. Hell, some of the Cantina aliens have multiple action figures at this point, it's downright surprising to think there's someone who has had a prominent speaking role on screen in the franchise who has not had an action figure at all in the close to nine years since they were introduced.

I don't think it's a gender thing because a quick search turned up dozens of Reys, Leias, Padmes, and Ahsokas.
I mean, they've made figures for Ashla that Togruta Youngling, The Armorer, and Dorovio "appears in the background of two shots" Bold! How does a relatively major recurring character like that slip the net?
Mind you, it looks like Satine and Korkie never got a figure either, so maybe they just have it in for Clan Kryze?
That is weird. I just wasn't sure if it was a sexism thing, since that is usually intended for guys will often times ignore the female characters. It drives me crazy how many men's Marvel and DC shirts don't have any of the women on them. Characters like Wonder Woman, and Captain Marvel are some of my favorites, and it can be hard to find guys stuff with them on it.

That just sounds like bad business. You'd think they'd want to roll out the full line-up of the Spectres plus the Grand Inquisitor while the first season was still airing to maximise synergy. Indeed if you look at the other merchandise for Rebels aimed at a young audience (mostly books and the like) it's almost all from season 1. Some from season 2...and then it just stops, presumably because the audience has aged out of the demographic.

In a toy license where a guy carrying a cantono/ice cream maker and Deleted Scenes characters almost nobody saw before the era of DVDs and Blurays get made then any background character from any series or film is possible. ;)

Do they need the child to create Snoke or resurrect Palpatine?

Someone said that Snoke's theme played when they came across the bodies in the vats.

Well, dog my cats, if that wasn't the BEST episode of "The Mandalorian" to date!

WOW!

Granted, not every episode can afford to have action on par with this episode, but that was easily the most exciting, most well done action sequence on the show, too. By far!

To me, this episode really felt most like "Star Wars" to me than the show ever has. And not just because a lot of it was spent running around the inside of an Imperial base in scenes that deliberately evoked the first film.

But it was exciting and intriguing and, god forbid, actually moved the story forward hugely!

This is what I mean when the show can and SHOULD be better than just 75% side quests and standalone, go-nowhere episodes.

This is how good the show can be when it actually embraces and engages with a running narrative.

Dear god, more like this PLEASE.

The Clone Wars line was a more kid-focused line, so it's not that surprising that they didn't release a lot of female figures in that particular line.

They are finally leaning heavily into "The Mandalorian" across all lines - Black Series, the Vintage Collection and, heck, they already announced and previewed a robust Mandalorian wave in the "Retro Collection." (figures stylized to look like they were made during the original Kenner run.)

They also just recently ended a WILDLY successful Haslab campaign for a ridiculously great-looking (and very large!) razor crest toy.

So while they were a little slow last year - releasing only a few figures. But within the next couple months, just in the Vintage Collection, we'll have Gideon, the Armorer, the incinerator trooper and two different versions of Beskar Mando (and child.)
