The Making of ST-TNG...

All of the Trek art books also delve into the production of TNG quite a bit, but admittedly, it is pertaining to the art facets of the production most of all. I have:

- Star Trek: The Next Generation Sketchbook - The Movies (GEN & FC)

- The Art of Star Trek

- Star Trek: The Next Generation - The Continuing Mission

- Star Trek: Action!

Also, a lot of the old Star Trek fan club magazines (before it was called Communicator) had a lot of nice articles regarding production, as well as the Star Trek: The Next Generation magazines put out by Starlog back when.

The Continuing Mission finally arrived a few days ago. I'm just starting the chapter on Season 3. Not bad, but I don't think I've really read anything I didn't know before.

I remember seeing this on the store shelves when new, but I'd forgotten what a honkin' big book it is.

I think both The Continuing Mission and Nemecek's book were approved by Paramount, so you're not likely to find a lot of deep, controversial information. However, you can read between the lines to infer some things.

The reason I like The Continuing Mission is the beautiful photos and design drawings, as well as info on the development of some scripts, props, and characters.
