Totally agree.I rather disliked the TNG era romulans. I think they came off worse than the Klingons who still managed to pull off some individuality and distinctiveness. The new version Romulans were all cookie cutter in appearance and behaviour.

Yeah the dark Vulcans ruled the V'Tosh and sent the fairer ones, like Sarek to do their bidding and deal with the illogical offworlders. That's my head canon for why no dark Vulcans in TOS or ENT. Apart from that all desert bred aliens are expected to look like more Southern Europeans and less like Arabs or dare I say Africans. Why? Living on a desert planet, seems like more of them would've had darker skin tones.
You skipped Biology lessons in school?Well like you say...

Expecting continuity from a fictional scifi TV show especially Star trek? Don't hold your breath.I was taken aback by a black Vulcan as well. Not so much on racial grounds as on continuity grounds.,.we had never seen a black Vulcan before. But then I remembered...isn't Amanda's Vulcan midwife in Star Trek V black? So now I'm over it.
Understood. Thanks for clarifying.I was speaking of eyebrow hair. All hair -- wigs, eyebrows, beards, everything -- would be added separately after the appliances were glued on.

Indeed, if for no other reason than Ansara was married to Eden during the show's run, as part of a union that lasted 16 years altogether. How could I?

That I didn't know.Indeed, if for no other reason than Ansara was married to Eden during the show's run, as part of a union that lasted 16 years altogether.
There are deserts all over the world, not just in Africa and the Middle East. The largest desert in the world is....wait for it....Antarctica. On average it's the driest continent! So desert dwellers could look like the Hopi, Mongolians, Pashtuns, oe Aboriginal Australians. ( if they must parallel humans)Yeah the dark Vulcans ruled the V'Tosh and sent the fairer ones, like Sarek to do their bidding and deal with the illogical offworlders. There are a lot of dark skinned Europeans, often from Southern Europe. They don't look that different than many people from North Africa and West Asia.
The two actors who set the standard for Vulcans were both Jewish. A people with some experience in the desert.![]()
Did I say otherwise?Jewish people like Vulcans come in all shapes and skin tones from blonde to brown
So what point were you trying to make that it was Jewish actors that set the standard for Vulcans? Humans of Jewish heritage don't have a special phenotype, hence my point.Did I say otherwise?
A joke based on Jewish history and the story of Exodus. Famous story about Jews and the desert. Maybe you've heard of it?So what point were you trying to make that it was Jewish actors that set the standard for Vulcans? Humans of Jewish heritage don't have a special phenotype, hence my point.
