I've tried watching Confused Matthew reviews and I just can't do it. He spends way too much time blathering about nothing at all, instead of cutting to the chase and actually giving a review. He desperately needs to sit down and watch how Gene Siskel used to say everything which needed to be said, clearly and concisely, in the space of two or three minutes. (I'm not going to say the same thing about Phantassm's* review, because I haven't watched it; I can't be the only one who finds the prospect of a review -- of a 126-minute movie -- running longer than sixty minutes to be a bit daunting.)Confused Matthew has a long review. He bascially completely trashes the film. Not surprising considering the fucktard hates anything that is good
The review is half the length of the film! Geesh.
I appreciate people going to all that time and effort, however, but c'mon!

It'd be worth watching the whole thing if someone appeared behind him at the end and cracked a steel chair over the back of his head.
Just saying.
Comparing his YouTube profile to his Trek BBS profile, this seems to be the case, yes.* To the OP: is this our Phantassm, by the way?

I'm not sure if all of this is really necessary. What a fucktard.
Yes, that was mentioned by the OP in Post #7.It wasn't just a review of Star Trek 2009 but all of the TOS movies.
barnaclelapse's comment, I'm pretty sure, is a joke playing on what happens at the end of most (all?) WWE/pro wrestling programs aired in the US for the last fifteen years or so; when someone got whacked with the folding chair, you knew this week's show was over - cut to commercial. You can even find a :chair: smiley on a lot of boards. (No, I didn't watch wrestling, but it was on just before Voyager on UPN over here, so I got to see the chair a lot.)It'd be worth watching the whole thing if someone appeared behind him at the end and cracked a steel chair over the back of his head.I'm not sure if all of this is really necessary. What a fucktard.![]()
I agree. It was uncalled-for.The guy has just posted a rather lengthy review of a movie on the internet. In my opinion that hardly justifies calling him a fucktard.
But thanks for explaining the wrestling reference. I can see now how I took barnaclelapse's comment too seriously.

I just started watching the fourth part of his review and I must say that although it's kind of long drawn-out it's really nice, too. It's more or less a review of the whole film series, so that might explain the length. You can tell that he's very passionate about Star Trek and I think he's also a very likeable guy.

And he used to post written movie reviews in SF&F quite a bit. Now he's branched out -- good for him.is this our Phantassm, by the way?
Looks like it. His art site and this Youtube review credit the same name: Michael L King.
