I loved, Loved, LOVED Leverage. So when I heard one of its creators is producing a new series with a Warehouse 13 vibe, my interest is piqued.

Starts next Monday in the UK.

I've certainly seen two of the films(maybe three) and liked them enough to have a look at the series.
The trailer does give off more of a Warehouse feel than the films did (at least in my opinion) but we'll see when it airs:)

I liked the original tv-movies (and LEVERAGE) so I'm definitely going to check this out.

I love Noah Wylie and I liked the TV-movies but the cheese-factor was really high--aimed more at the kiddos, I think. If Noah will hardly appear in this series, I'm not sure how much I will like it. But I'm going to record it and give it a chance.

Falling Skies only has just this one Season left, so, no reason he couldn't appear more frequently in the second half of the Season or a Second Season, should the show survive

Why? Leverage was awesome because of the cast, not the concept.

It's not just about the concept. The producers and writers of LEVERAGE presumably had a lot to do with the awesomeness of the execution. I mean, it's not like the cast, as talented and charismatic as they were, were responsible for the clever plots and snappy dialogue or the development of the characters.

Hopefully, the creator will bring the same cleverness and sense of fun to this new show.

Besides, one of the Leverage cast is in the new show. I immediately spotted Christian Kane aka Eliot Spencer the hitter. What can I say? He has a very distinctive hairstyle.

I was just saying that I don't quite get why people assume that if someone produces one thing, anything they produce will be of equal quality.

That said, I'm looking forward to this, too. Not because of the Leverage producers, but because it looks fun on its own merits.

Look at it this way. If you read a book by a specific author and like it, aren't you more inclined to read their next book as well, even if if it's not a sequel to that other book?

So if you like one show created by John Rogers (LEVERAGE), wouldn't that make you more interested in his next show?

Sure, there's no guarantee that, say, every Spielberg movie is going to be as good as JAWS or RAIDERS, but, with any project, the track record of the creators' is worth taking into account.

"From the creator of LEVERAGE" certainly is a plus in the show's favor.

I didn't watch Leverage, but, I loved him as Lyndsey in Angel

Thanks for the reminder. I've been looking forward to this. It can't replace Warehouse 13, but hopefully it will be just as good. I wonder if Bob Newhart will be in it at all.

I loved Leverage and really enjoy John Rogers' writing, and that combined with a premise that's right up my alley means I'm in for sure. I only realize now that I've never seen any of the Librarian movies even though I probably would have really enjoyed them all. Maybe I can track them down in time to catch up before the series premiere.

Actors don't always give equal performances in movies either.

Creators. :) Dean Devlin worked with John Rogers to create Leverage and was a producer throughout the run (though Rogers was the showrunner); Devlin was a producer on the Librarian movies, and is involved in the series as well.

I'm really glad that Jonathan Frake's association with the franchise, as director, is continuing. His Librarian sequels were very entertaining popcorn fare ...

I remember not being engaged by the first movie and maybe even not watching all of it, so I haven't followed the sequels at all. But the promos for the show -- and the John Rogers involvement -- have gotten me curious enough to give them a try. (I was also won over by the promo saying "Heroes like these... are overdue." Ohh, I get it! ) I tracked down the Librarian movies at, appropriately enough, the library, and hopefully my requested copies will arrive in time to let me watch them before Sunday night. If they don't (which seems more likely), I'll just record the series premiere and watch it later.

 I see what you did there...

Although from the promos, it looks like this time he's playing a more intellectual role (art historian), and the blond woman is the "hitter." But he seemed to have Eliot's temper in the clip they showed.

FYI: I believe TNT is rerunning the original tv-movies on Sunday, prior to the debut of the TV series.

CASTLE fans should note that Stana Katic (aka "Detective Kate Beckett") plays the female lead in the third movie.
