Yeah, I definitely agree with that. The financial environment for streamers has definitely declined. It's going to be harder to get spinoffs approved. Time will tell. I'm not even one who is dying for a spinoff. Sure, it would probably be nice to have, but I'm alright if one doesn't happen.
They had better reuse the intro from K9 and Company - just to make sure it gets off to the right start!

But Disney is operating at a loss to gain market dominance.

It's a sound business model.

They can put their prices up, over Netflix's dead body.

Well, that was a rush! I don't think there's anyone who can ramp things up, and up, and up, and actually deliver on the reveal, quite like Russell T Davies. Liked how contained it was, how everyone had a role to play, and oh, that reveal. Very much like Utopia, as someone noted, down to the text on a screen, and I don't mind that one bit, as I love Utopia, and am really happy to be that swept up by an episode again.

Only vaguely knew of Sutekh, just an inkling of him being a classic Who villain, and had to look him up to confirm, but still felt the impact of his arrival. Love his Anubis-variant design, love that it's the original actor voicing him (also the guy who voiced the Beast, clearly a master of deep, deep evil), love everything about it. Highly satisfying.
