"Magic to make..." is gone. It was a very entertaining episode, but doesn't measure up to how this concept has been handled by a few other shows, including Star Trek.

If these are professionals a decade out from our Kirk, seeing fry cooks playing beer pong is a really bad start... Harry Mudd's out of place where even fan fiction taped with a VHS camcorder would come across with a more professional feeling script. And the story revolves around the magic mushroom drive anyway. If nothing else, real sci-fi isn't about magic. Is the title trolling the audience or merely insulting them?

Removing Shattered.

It comes from a time in Voyager time travel was so overused it was like "Oh, yet ANOTHER time travel episode". And it's one of those episodes where the action does not logically track in the slightest and seems to exist for fanservice, bringing back Seska and such. And they missed an opportunity to have future Icheb and Naomi pass some critical information to Chakotay that could be used to get home.

I think that's why Discovery lasted so long, also the lack of clear episodes rather than an ongoing narative makes it harder to remember the plot of each given one.

Is Yesteryear actually a good episode or has it made it this far because most people haven't seen TAS?

"Yesteryear" is actually good, IMO. Often with TAS, I literally can't get through it. I pause it, I walk away, I get distracted, I can't focus on it. "Yesteryear" grabbed my attention, held it the whole time, and I was so moved by the ending I actually teared up a little. It's written by D.C. Fontana and Mark Lenard is back voicing Sarek, so it feels very much of a piece with "Journey To Babel" and Spock's story as a whole.

The episode also works with the restrictions and possibilities of it's animated format really well -- on one level it's a small story, perfectly suited to the abbreviated 24 minute running time. But it's also so big in terms of it's visuals... we go back to the Guardian of Forever's planet, we're all over different locations on Vulcan.

Plus it has this great incidental Andorian character who is JACKED for some reason, which is just a fun detail.

I've seen other write-ups citing "Yesteryear" as THE star episode of TAS, so I think this view is shared reasonably widely, as far as these things go in a fandom where there's no consensus on anything.

I'm removing Yesterday's Enterprise. It's a great episode, but when I watch it now, there are a lot of moments that feel a little hokey, like the Tasha Yar/Shooter McGavin romance, or some of Guinan's conversations.

I knew from the start that it would end with the "evolved" planet helping Voyager to get out of its predicament, I even knew that at some point they'd be in danger of being blown off, either by being fired upon or because some sudden change would worsen their condition.

I think it was unneccssary for Such Sweet Sorrow to be split into two parts. Part II was a wonderful end to the season, whereas part I just moved a few pieces abou in anticipation of the bg final battle.

Edited because Such Sweet Sorry doesn't have the same ring to it.

I love Yesteryear so I'm glad it's made it this far, even if some of my favourites have fallen along the way. It was a wonderful extension to Spock's character, building on what we knew of him and his famiy from TOS. It's easily my favourite TAS episode out of what I've seen.
