The Least Disliked Season Finale

Tears of the Prophets. A mostly solid episode, but brought down by the fact that Jadzia's death was completely botched.

TNG, Season 3: "The Best Of Both Worlds, Part I"
TNG, Season 4: "Redemption I"
TNG, Season 7: "All Good Things"
DS9, Season 2: "The Jem'Hadar"
DS9, Season 3: "The Adversary"
DS9, Season 4: "Broken Link"
DS9, Season 5: "Call To Arms"
DS9, Season 7: "What You Leave Behind"
VOY, Season 2: "Basics, Part I"
VOY, Season 4: "Hope And Fear"
VOY, Season 5: "Equinox, Part I"
ENT, Season 2: "The Expanse"

Hope and Fear was a pretty duff ending for what had been a promising season of VOY.

TNG, Season 3: "The Best Of Both Worlds, Part I"
TNG, Season 4: "Redemption I"
TNG, Season 7: "All Good Things"
DS9, Season 2: "The Jem'Hadar"
DS9, Season 3: "The Adversary"
DS9, Season 4: "Broken Link"
DS9, Season 5: "Call To Arms"
DS9, Season 7: "What You Leave Behind"
VOY, Season 2: "Basics, Part I"
VOY, Season 5: "Equinox, Part I"
ENT, Season 2: "The Expanse"

TNG, Season 4: "Redemption I", indubitably the least interesting of the ones left.

TNG, Season 3: "The Best Of Both Worlds, Part I"
TNG, Season 7: "All Good Things"
DS9, Season 2: "The Jem'Hadar"
DS9, Season 3: "The Adversary"
DS9, Season 4: "Broken Link"
DS9, Season 5: "Call To Arms"
DS9, Season 7: "What You Leave Behind"
VOY, Season 2: "Basics, Part I"
VOY, Season 5: "Equinox, Part I"
ENT, Season 2: "The Expanse"

TNG, Season 3: "The Best Of Both Worlds, Part I"
TNG, Season 7: "All Good Things"
DS9, Season 2: "The Jem'Hadar"
DS9, Season 3: "The Adversary"
DS9, Season 4: "Broken Link"
DS9, Season 5: "Call To Arms"
DS9, Season 7: "What You Leave Behind"
VOY, Season 2: "Basics, Part I"
VOY, Season 5: "Equinox, Part I"

Removing The Expanse because it’s the only one left I’d rate below an 8 or so.

Removing "What You Leave Behind". Opens with some of the worst dialogue in the franchise ("I've never been into battle with someone I've slept with before" and the like), meanders along and finishes with the fantasy guff which plagued S7.

TNG, Season 3: "The Best Of Both Worlds, Part I"
TNG, Season 7: "All Good Things"
DS9, Season 2: "The Jem'Hadar"
DS9, Season 3: "The Adversary"
DS9, Season 4: "Broken Link"
DS9, Season 5: "Call To Arms"
VOY, Season 2: "Basics, Part I"
VOY, Season 5: "Equinox, Part I"

"BASICS, PART I" goes. The Kazon.

TNG, Season 3: "The Best Of Both Worlds, Part I"
TNG, Season 7: "All Good Things"
DS9, Season 2: "The Jem'Hadar"
DS9, Season 3: "The Adversary"
DS9, Season 4: "Broken Link"
DS9, Season 5: "Call To Arms"
VOY, Season 5: "Equinox, Part I"

"Equinox." Such a great premise, flops in execution. And the actual cliffhanger moment is so weak.

TNG, Season 3: "The Best Of Both Worlds, Part I"
TNG, Season 7: "All Good Things"
DS9, Season 2: "The Jem'Hadar"
DS9, Season 3: "The Adversary"
DS9, Season 4: "Broken Link"
DS9, Season 5: "Call To Arms"

“Broken Link” is next. I actually really like the episode, but it’s hampered by the fact that Odo eventually regains his shapeshifting ability.

TNG, Season 3: "The Best Of Both Worlds, Part I"
TNG, Season 7: "All Good Things"
DS9, Season 2: "The Jem'Hadar"
DS9, Season 3: "The Adversary"
DS9, Season 5: "Call To Arms"

The Adversary is out. Not a bad episode, just not as good as what's left.

TNG, Season 3: "The Best Of Both Worlds, Part I"
TNG, Season 7: "All Good Things"
DS9, Season 2: "The Jem'Hadar"
DS9, Season 5: "Call To Arms"

This is going to be unexpected, but I am eliminating "All Good Things...".

All episodes remaining are excellent, and although this one is too, it is a SERIES finale. I have to take it out based on this being a SEASON finale list.

TNG, Season 3: "The Best Of Both Worlds, Part I"
DS9, Season 2: "The Jem'Hadar"
DS9, Season 5: "Call To Arms"

The Jem'Hadar is out for the never mentioned or seen again Vorta superpowers.

TNG, Season 3: "The Best Of Both Worlds, Part I"
DS9, Season 5: "Call To Arms"

Call To Arms is a great episode, has too many amazing scenes but as always over acting of Avery Brooks makes it a caricature of what it should be.

So we have
TNG, Season 3: "The Best Of Both Worlds, Part I"

Well, a non-shocking winner -- BOBW 1 may truly be the least disliked of all Star Trek episodes.

And along with "Balance Of Terror", our second episode to win in two categories...

INTRO OF RECURRING ALIEN ANTAGONISTS: TOS, Season 1: "Balance Of Terror"
ROMULANS: TOS, Season 1: "Balance Of Terror"
TIME TRAVEL/ANOMALY/LOOP: TAS, Season 1: "Yesteryear"
TRIP TO EARTH'S PAST: TOS Feature: "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home"
ALIEN ILLUSION: TNG, Season 3: "The Survivors"
KLINGONS: TNG, Season 3: "Sins Of The Father"
BORG: TNG, Season 3: "Best Of Both Worlds I"
SEASON FINALE: TNG, Season 3: "Best Of Both Worlds I"
MAQUIS: TNG, Season 7: "Preemptive Strike"
Q: TNG, Season 7: "All Good Things"
CARDASSIANS: DS9, Season 3: "Improbable Cause"
FERENGI: DS9, Season 3: "Family Business"
IT'S HAPPENING INSIDE MY MIND: DS9, Season 4: “Hard Time”
2-HOUR/2-PARTER: DS9, Season 5: "In Purgatory's Shadow/By Inferno's Light"
SEASON PREMIERE: DS9, Season 6: "A Time To Stand"
HOLODECK: VOY, Season 3: "Worst Case Scenario"
MIRROR UNIVERSE: ENT, Season 4: "In A Mirror, Darkly, Part I"
SECTION 31: DIS, Season 2: "Such Sweet Sorrow, Part 2"
COUPLE: Sarek/Amanda

I will post "The Least Disliked Regular Star Trek Character" tomorrow, hope to see you all there!

And after that I think the list for "The Least Disliked Romance-Of-The-Week Episode" will at last be ready, so everyone start sharpening your knives now in anticipation of that one...

Thanks for playing!

That's coming right after the "8th Most Liked Redshirt Who Was Killed in an Episode That Aired in an Even Numbered Month But an Odd Numbered Produced Episode Not Directed By a Main Cast Actor Or David Livingston, Winrich Kolbe, Mike Vejar, or James L. Conway".

No one is forcing you to post there.

One thing that is missing is a "dislike" feature.
