Season Two: Peak Performance
Wild Card: Q Who
Season Three: Sins of the Father
Wild Card: Yesterday's Enterprise
Season Four: The Best of Both Worlds II

So now it is time for the final part.

*RULES*

Give what you consider to be the worst/your least favourite episode ONE point, and briefly explain WHY. Be sure to copy and paste the list with your point added. When an episode reaches 4 points, it is eliminated. Then a NEW round begins (in this thread) with the numbers restored to 0. Vote ONCE per round. If 48 hours without a vote passes, the episode currently leading in points will be eliminated, and a new round will begin. And enjoy! :bolian:

I'm voting for Power Play. It has some interesting moments but it's average, especially compared to some of the other episodes here.

Seconded. Power Play is decent but wouldn't make my top 5 from the fifth season.

I'm also voting for "Power Play." It was well-done, but hardly a new concept.

Peak Performance... not really a peak performance for TNG...

11001001. The awkward pacing characteristic of Season 1 works to undermine it.

I am eliminating "Power Play". It's a great action episode, probably the best action one of season 5, but it's rather hollow compared to other action episodes of TNG, especially compared to some on this list.

I’ll vote Peak Performance. To me it’s the weakest of the remaining episodes. Fun to watch but not as deep or complex as the others

“Lower Decks”. It was interesting seeing a different perspective, births story just moved like molasses on a cold January day.

"Preemptive Strike" gets a strike against it. I understand why the writers were giving some stories of the Maquis on TNG, so it helps DS9 out and sets up VOYAGER, but to me, it was basically using TNG episode slots that season because the writers were out of steam. And it did show in season 7.

In the end, DS9 got much more mileage out of the Maquis than the series that had it as part of its premise.

Peak Performance then this time. It's interesting that it made it this far as it's entertaining enough, but it's only just about in my season 2 Top 10.

I'll do "Sins Of The Father." It's great, but "Reunion" on this list is already an improvement on the Klingon-episode model set by "Sins."

Eliminating Peak Performance. Not a bad episode but the lowest one remaining.

I'm voting for The Arsenal of Freedom next. I always liked it, and thought it was one of the better ensemble pieces from season one. The chief engineer Lynch is a very annoying character though.

Lower Decks, focusing on lower decks characters is nice in theory but Ogawa is the only one we actually know the others are whatever, Sito's previous appearance barely counts considering she was completely irrelevant in The First Duty.

The Arsenal of Freedom. Basically character backstory episode which in theory is good, didn't execute well (pun not intended) Like Dr crusher and picard know each other very well yet he didn't know some family history of hers on why she became a doctor.

Sins of the Father for me is the weakest of the remaining episodes. It's alright but not as memorable to me as the rest.
