The least disliked episode of DS9 - Season Six

This is a game that we play every few years, and it's generally a lot of fun, providing a chance to mentally revisit those episodes you may not have thought about in a while. With that in mind, why not play again?

So, here's the game. The basic idea is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your least favorite or the one you deem the 'worst.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, please leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters before you eliminate another episode.

No tactical voting! You cannot remove an episode just because you feel they would threaten your preferred episode's chance to win. Pretty simple. Enjoy!

I will go with "TIme's Orphan" I didn't much like primitive young Molly and even then it feels like a cheat to get old Molly back. Plus it doesn't help that I know they dusted this idea off a old TNG episode idea of doing something similar to Alexander. And even kind of did it in "Firstborn." A waste of a Keiko as well since she wasn't in many episodes the last 3 to 4 years of the show and I liked her and her scenes with the Chief.

Sons and Daughters. I wasn't exactly raring to see Alexander make a return to the franchise, and he's basically handled as a one-note joke in this episode.

Taking out "VALIANT". Those cadets were pretty unlikeable, though the idea was interesting.

Resurrection is a pretty average episode. Kira had lost Bareil around 3 years ago so his part in the show had been over for a very long time.

"You Are Cordially Invited..." is out. After all the upheaval of the first 6 episodes I didn't need a Klingon wedding.

Honor Among Thieves, I didn't care at all, it's not even a bad episode and Colm Meaney is a great actor but ... eh, it just doesn't do it for me.

The Magnificent Ferengi: It's okay in parts but tit drops the ball in falling Quark's goal of showing people that Ferengi can be as tough and capable as anyone else. It should have been less slapstick for that kind of story. Basically it lacks the heart that most Ferengi stories have because the Ferengi are the most human characters in Berman era Trek and who are most like us.

The Reckoning seems to start of promisingly enough, and then turns into a B movie about halfway through. Was this Kai Winn's only appearance this season as well?

One Little Ship. Would have made for a fine episode of TAS, and possibly even TNG or Voyager might have been able to pull it off, but DS9 was absolutely the wrong show for this sort of storyline.

This is another superb season, and really difficult to remove episodes. Especially now, since the remainders are really great episodes.

I will silence "THE SOUND OF HER VOICE" simply because it is a little weaker than the rest.

Removing His Way. Introduction of the show's cheesy magical hologram that everybody loves regardless of whether it makes sense for their personality and awkwardly takes up the counselor role. And it makes Kira and Odo finally getting together awkwardly sitcommish.

I choose Tears of the Profits next. It was a very effective end to the season with Sisko isolated from the Prophets and from his best friend. The actual death of Jadzia was staged in a very corny way, that never sat well. It distracted from the sadness I was supposed to be feeling.
