The least disliked episode of DS9 - season seven

I'll take out When it Rains... as the episodes either side of it in the arc are stronger.

Now to be honest I can't choose a favourite out of what's left like I could the earlier seasons. I think any of these could win and would deserve to.

Treachery, Faith, and the Great River
The Siege of AR-558
The Changing Face of Evil
Tacking Into the Wind
What You Leave Behind

I'm taking out The Siege of AR-558, i really did not like the episode and keep getting bored.

I'm very wired, i like episodes people hate and don't like episodes people like.

Treachery, Faith, and the Great River
The Changing Face of Evil
Tacking Into the Wind
What You Leave Behind

What You Leave Behind. I may be hated for this, but this episode rides on sentimentality. Like Munchkin, it's thirty great minutes packed into ninety minutes of TV. Kira, Garak and Damar are exhilarating. I love how Odo's story is wrapped into the resolution of the Dominion War. I love the send off to all the characters. And I cry seeing Jake and Kira staring out the window. And I applaud the producers for killing off the lead character. However, most of the cast spends too much time doing nothing more than looking at the TV. The battle in space gets disorganized in presentation. Casting the Devil into the fires of Hell was far from original. The synchronizing of the Battle of Cardassia and Winn and Dukat's journey through the Fire Caves was weird.

Treachery, Faith, and the Great River
The Changing Face of Evil
Tacking Into the Wind

Taking off Treachery, Faith, And The Great River, on the basis of a slightly weak B story. Obviously an excellent episode on the whole, I just marginally prefer the others...

The Changing Face of Evil
Tacking Into the Wind

I'll declare Tacking Into The Wind winner. Both the A and B plots are superb and you see Damar growing into the hero role and maturing as he accepts Kira's advice against his instincts.

I think that's fair. I would have had Chimera closer to the top 5 but it was all mostly right for me. The final arc was brilliant television, so to see so many of those episodes last was good.

What You Leave Behind is a brilliant finale, and hits all the right notes in terms of sentimentality. The Pah-Wraith story is a bodge though, in terms of pacing and it making sense. Being as it takes up a lot of the time too, it's not quite my favourite of the season.

I liked What You Leave Behind apart from the bits with Dukat and Winn. Season 7 is a strange one. I'm not sure if any of the episodes are in my top 10 but that's not to say it's a bad season. Tacking Into The Wind had the epic final showdown between Worf and Gowron and I enjoyed the Kira/Odo/Damar/Garak plot but I also liked The Changing Face Of Evil. I wasn't rooting for any particular episode to win.
