The Least Disliked Episode 2025 - PRO Season 1

Our addictive biyearly game of rapid elimination returns - now with more shows than ever. It's generally a lot of fun, providing a chance to mentally revisit those episodes you may not have thought about in a while. With that in mind, why not play again?

So, here's the game. The basic idea is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your least favourite or the one you deem the 'worst.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters before you eliminate another episode.

No tactical voting! You cannot remove an episode just because you feel it would threaten your preferred episode's chance to win. Pretty simple. Enjoy!

[Farscape One]

This is a tough series to eliminate episodes, overall. I was quite surprised at how good it was.

My first elimination is "LET SLEEPING BORG LIE", simply because I'm way past the point of being tired of the Borg. (It's otherwise a pretty decent episode.)

I was never a huge fan of the first episode ("Lost and Found") as I felt it a little to Star Wars-ish. I'm extremely glad I stuck with it, though, as Prodigy became my second-favorite modern Trek.

Despite it being a good team building episode, I'm more tired of time travel than I am of Borg episodes. So for that reason alone, it goes. (Still a good episode, though.)

@Farscape One reminded me of how much I loooooooove "Let Sleeping Borg Lie", so I go to watch it and discover season 1 is gone from Netflix?

Is Prodigy on the verge of being lost media? Is it time to snatch up those blu-rays?

Starstruck isn't as particularly strong episode - Dal was a bit too annoying at the start of the show.

I think the finale went too big. It doesn't always need to be a massive blow-up that leads to massive death and threatens all of Starfleet, especially on this show. "Supernova, Part 2"

I'm going to be that person and take out the well loved "Kobayashi." I adore the idea of using characters from other series, especially ones that had passed on, but the quality of the sound clips they used varied so greatly that it took me completely out of the episode and simply reminded me of the actors we had lost.

It's a good beginning of a finale, but I do agree with Sakonna's reasoning.

"A Moral Star, Part 1" has some problems with the serialized plot development. You can really feel the gears grinding.

I suppose that is the signature sin of this era of Trek: terrible instincts on serialization. It was always the serialized plotting that was the greatest weakness on all of these shows, and yet they kept doubling and tripling and quadrupling down on the very thing they were worst at. If only they'd more quickly reached the (very obvious) realization that they excel at the episodic!

Ghost In The Machine is one of those Holodeck's gone wrong episodes made infamous by TNG and VOY.

I found the body swap (or mind swap?) in "Mindwalk" to be a bit unbelievable, even for a "kids' show". Edit: Which is not intended to put down Prodigy, a great show for all ages.
