The Least Disliked Episode 2025 - PIC Season 2

So, here's the game. The basic idea is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your least favourite or the one you deem the 'worst.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters before you eliminate another episode.

No tactical voting! You cannot remove an episode just because you feel it would threaten your preferred episode's chance to win. Pretty simple. Enjoy!

[Seven of Five]

The season started and ended really well, then just sagged in the middle with middle of the road comedy. Would have made a better two hour film!

That said, the late Anne Wershing was perfect as the Borg Queen, and I loved Jurati's relationship with her.

Watcher was a bit of a contrived look at a young Guinan, and just left me wanting Whoopi Goldberg.

[Sakonna]

"Mercy" is the problem segment of this season for me. It's really one of those where you can hear the gears grinding as they struggle to force everyone into place for the season endgame. Picard and Guinan in FBI custody particularly makes no sense to me.

Most notably when Q shows up as an FBI agent... at a point in the story where he has no powers. What wacky scheme got a powerless Q an FBI agent's identity? I also like picturing him taking the bus across town in order to get to his scene with Guinan.

[Victoria]

I felt this season seemed very fragmented and that none of the fragments ever seemed to get properly tied in with the others. "Hide and Seek" was the point at which I found I had, literally, lost the plot. I didn't know what time we were in. I was completely confused by what was happening and why. I found myself fixated on the wine bottles being the wrong shape (Burgundy grapes in a Claret bottle) - if that's the most compelling thing in an episode then there really is a problem.

[Farscape One]

The worst season in the franchise. Easy to pick off episodes.

I'll kill "Monsters".

I hope I never hear the word 'maman' ever again. Terrible episode. I hate the idea that Picard was pushed into his ethical and moral stances by a tragic family history, instead of just being that way simply because it's the right thing to do and just the way he was. The way this episode deconstructed Picard was just unforgiveable. Definite character assassination.

[Sakonna]

"Fly Me To The Moon" is the lesser of these. Nothing all that wrong with it, but it's just a fine arc episode, while the others remaining all have something special about them.

Two of One is just spinning its wheels with the cast in formalwear but with nothing to say.

[Farscape One]

I'll take out "Assimilation".

The premiere was the best episode and promised a great season, "Penance" was an okay episode, and "Farewell" at least gave us two excellent Picard/Q scenes. "Assimilation" is definitely the weakest one here.

I was going to remove Assimilation but in a far more long-winded fashion so it's probably a good thing that I was beaten to it!

I agree that The Star Gazer was the best episode. Of the other two, I find "Farewell" the weaker. Although there were some nice moments (Kore getting a happy ending: Wesley: Rios getting a happy ending), I thought the season just fizzled out.

I'm going to remove "The Star Gazer", as Penance had the team figuring things out, adapting to the situation, coming up with a plan, talking to a holographic cat, all the stuff you want in a story like this. I still don't understand what the title's about though.

I spent a while hovering in here trying to work out which episode to erase but each time I isolated one episode I realised I couldn't do it. I just love this season too much. To be honest I would have struggled with season 1 a lot too. These two seasons are everything I wanted Picard's return to my screen to be.
