The least disliked character of TNG

Okay Trek fans, the episode and movie versions proved very popular, and here's the beginning of the character contest. The basic idea is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of main and some recurring characters and you need to eliminate your least favorite or the one you deem the 'worst.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, leave at least 2 eliminations before you eliminate another one. Not a very accurate way of determining the best character, but a fun game nonetheless. No tactical voting! You cannot remove a character because you feel they would threaten your favorite character's chance to win. Pretty simple. Enjoy!

Wesley Crusher is my next scalp. He sort of redeemed himself from season three onwards, mostly by the virtue of not being on the show most of the time. His early work on TNG in particular is some of the most horrific done for a Trek character in all of the franchise.

I eliminated Sela; She has such an implausible back story that it reeks of a (bad) comic book villian. They might as well of just created a new character for Tasha's actress and ignored any connections to Yar's character.

Will Riker - There are several characters on the list that I don't care for (and some I don't even remember ... who are Bennett, Wright and Darien Wallace?), but Riker is the only one I really don't like. He refused command after command and just seemed to wait for Picard to leave so that Starfleet would give him the Enterprise instead of picking someone with experience in commanding a starship. He was an arrogant ass that seemed to think commanding a less important ship was a job for anyone but him, when he whined that the Melbourne (?) was not the Enterprise all I could think was "And you're no Picard, so shut up!". How he treated Ro (one of my favourite characters) in the beginning is another point against him.
I think his character was useless, a dedicated XO with no other job is unnecessary and boring, I don't think there's anything about his character that I liked.
