TLJ being better than something like Freddy Got Fingered is not exactly a ringing endorsement. I guess some people's expectations for a SW movie that had the benefit of the original actors and an unlimited budget were super low.
Or people just engaged the film as presented instead of worrying about expectations.
Yeah, if I just didn't have any expectations, yo-mamma jokes and milking space cows would have played so much better.

TLJ may or may not be a good film, but it's easily, easily not the worst film ever, and anyone willing to make such statements should, IMO, have their opinion discarded at face value.
They should also be required to watch "The Room".
