The lack of jabs at "Enterprise"

What silly thing from ENT do you most want to see referenced in LD?

One of the best things about the references and Easter eggs in "Lower Decks" is how they lampoon the more embarrassing moments of previous series. We have multiple references to "Voyager's" infamous "Threshold;" for the Origibal Series, we have the giant Spock skeleton, Lincoln's skeleton, and a great "redshirt" joke.

But the only "Enterprise" references I recall seeing are all pretty...benign? The face-puffing Denobulans, Riker playing the holobovel, and a quick jab at T'Pol's haircut. But nothing about the infamous Decontamination Chamber, the Klingon in the cornfield, or the blatant continuity errors that enraged fans back in the day.

Most of all, I lament the lack of references to "A Night in Sickbay," a classic bad episode up there with "Threshold" and "Spock's Brain." No mention of how a Starfleet captain once threatened to wizz on someone's sacred trees, or rainy dog funerals turning into wet dreams.

Were these referenced, and I just missed or forgot them?
I have a feeling the much deserved jab at ANISB may be in the back pocket to break out as a Get Romantic Feelings Out There card. Whether that will be for Tendiford (is that what kids are calling them?) or Mariner/Boimler or many some other combination of the four remains to be seen but that's a huge elephant in the room to ignore.

I want Lower Decks to bring back the Xindi. In terms of jabs at the show, Maybe something about Trip dying.

Come to think of it, Shaxs' brief death was very similar to Trip's, wasn't it. They should point out the parallels.

I could see Lower Decks actually doing something like that.

How about Seska impregnated Trip with Boimler's DNA

Porthos tinkling on the tree inspired a rebellious faction who rose up and took over the planet. That planet now worships Porthos as a Warrior God and has erected a giant statue of him lifting his leg on the tree.

Oh my sweet Jesus f**k, yes, yes, YES! Dear God, please let this happen!

Casual viewers who may have watched TNG or VOY back in the day probably wouldn't recognize any ENT references.

They kind of did reference it, with the sonic shower scene earlier in the season. Since it did resemble the decon chamber.

I’d imagine the conversation would go something like this.

Random ambassador: “Well, what about the final mission where Trip dies?”

Mariner: “We don’t discuss it with outsiders. Half of Starfleet don’t even believe that’s the holoprogram its real and think he faked his death like Elvis or Tupac or Shran.”

Ambassador: “Well, what about the time when Archer’s dog got sick and had to spend a night in sickbay-“

Mariner: “We really don’t discuss that one with outsiders. We don't even like talking about it with insiders. Feel free to ask anything else though. Around 98 stories to choose from.”

I wouldn’t mind if there was reference to the difference between phase pistols/cannons and phasers and photonic torpedoes and photon torpedoes. Or referenced Mayweather and Sato as the original lower decks.
