The lack of “the Federation” in Starfleet

    Do you think XCV-330 Enterprise is us copying them or just parallel thought? I like the former but I could see the later too.
    But ring design on actual Federation ships sounds cool.

    My head canon says it's former. Or humans adapting Vulcan tech into a new design.

    I like to think of it as parallel design, as well as a precursor to the sphere shapes used later on.

    Each warp capable species has their own ships, they just aren’t shown nearly as much. It could be too that there so happens to be more human ships out there because of Starfleet putting so many resources into space explorations. The Vulcans for instance aren’t that interested in exploration, but they have their own fleet with their own ships.
