The Killing (AMC) Discussion

On one hand, if the reviews I've been following are accurate, the show really went to hell creatively midway through the first season, and the writers don't seem to be willing to acknowledge or correct this.

On the other hand, this is based on a Danish series which took twenty days of story time to solve the murder, so it isn't as if we shouldn't have seen this coming -- the first season only covered 13 days worth of story.

They said that they would finish the story at the mid point of the second season. They have no clue what they are doing.

Yeah, the mid-season date seems more in line with the original Danish program's timeline of 20 days. It looks like they're trying to stretch this concept out (it's a wonder the program isn't on Showtime!).

Yeah, after "Lost," the last thing I wanted was to get invested in yet another "let's make it up as we go along" mystery show.

They're trying to stretch it out, but they don't have anything to stretch it out with. They scored a touchdown on the opening kickoff but had no idea how to move the ball after that.

After the bullshit of the season finale, i'm not coming back. The show turned to shit just over halfway through. It's like they forgot the lessons of Twin Peaks.
