No kidding. If Casino Royale can get knocked off, you know you're down to playing hardball. It's an interesting game because its much easier to kill something than to save it.

I hate all of you who voted Casino Royale off.

Goldfinger for the win! I will not have it any other way.

It lasted incredibly long, you know. We were at the point in the game where only the true elite remained. Eventually even the best Bond movies have to fall.

I hate Casino Royale! And I'm pleased as punch that I got to kill it!:evil::devil:

I'm sorry but I've read all the novels and seen all the movies. I don't know who Mr. Craig was trying to be, but it wasn't James Bond. The character was nothing like the Bond of the books or the Bond of any of the other movies. He was a brute animal with no class what-so-ever. Tough, but still a brute animal with no class what-so-ever. And as for Craig himself, an ugly blond runt with a bad haircut, shifty eyes and chipmunk ears.

As for Goldfinger, you're probably right. It's got a really big lead. Although frankly I think FRWL is the better film, and OHMSS could have been fantastic with Connery as Bond instead of Lazenby.

Everybody says OHMSS would have been better with Connery, but I disagree. In YOLT Connery was very clearly bored with the role. His performance in that was his most lackluster as Bond. Had he stayed on for another, I shudder to think how much worse he could have been.

Well, From Russia With Love is far and away my favorite Bond film, so let's see what I can do:

You're quite correct re:YOLT, but I think that the story and OHMSS's director, Peter Hunt, would have made the difference. The story would have given Connery something to sink his teeth into and Hunt wouldn't have let him coast the way Lewis Gilbert did in YOLT.

Connery didn't have the emotional vulnerability to carry OHMSS. I'd love to see what Dalton could have done with it, had he been old enough at the time.

In regards to "What next?"--In all seriousness, I was thinking of starting a James Bond theme songs hurt/heal. Anyone interested?

No way OHMSS gets top two....
