The IT Crowd

Anyone here a fan of the show? I have only just discovered the show and absolutely love it. Then again I'm always a big fan of Graham Linehan shows.

There is a third season coming out yes?

I hear there is an American pilot being broadcast this year (but features the UK actor that plays Moss), though I highly doubt we'd get classic lines like "I don't want to blow my cock off" repeated in the US.

At the moment the U.S version is in development hell and the project status is unknown.

I watched the first two seasons several weeks ago and loved it. Season 3 is being made at the moment with a 4th season on the cards for 2009, should the writers and actors wish to continue.

My favourite scene is when there at the theatre...

after Jen sees Roy in the wheelchair, she turns around to the bar and Moss is there working as a barman. It was so out of the blue, I was laughing in tears, especially with the looks of Jen and Moss's face's...Plus how he was acting like he'd been in the job for years until he knocked all those glases down.

:bolian:

I hope season 3 is just as good.

I love the show - and yes, that scene with Jen and Moss at the bar was priceless. The addition of Matt Berry as the new boss in S2 was a master stroke. "FAAAATHERRRRR!!"

:D

Great show, I can't wait for more. You have to love a show that on the first series DVD set has subtitles that are all in different types of geek speak.
I think my favourite scene might be their version of the Anti-piracy ad, in Moss and the German.

That whole ep at the theatre was damn funny. My favourite line from S1E1: "Why are you giving me the secret signal to shut up?" And Richmond's pretty funny.

"People! What a bunch of BASTARDS!"

It's basically Father Ted 2007.
Anyway, I thought that fake "don't copy movies" thing was awesome. :)

I thought it was as funny as lung cancer.

That doesn't tell us much though, I mean was it ironic lung cancer, or black comedy, or maybe you're just mean spirited, and find cancer funny...

Just not very funny - I watched a few and didn't find them funny at all.

First or second season? I've only seen it intermittently, but it seemed to have improved a lot in the second, and most of the critics went along with that (even if it did lose Chris Morris along the line, and Jen looked far better with her first season red hair).

The IT Crowd is brilliant. My favorite part is the one where Moss alerts the fire department via e-mail. Classic.

Great show with lots of great comedy actors in it like Chris Morris and Noel Fielding. I have seen a bit of the new series but i will probbably get the DVD.
Don't bother making US versions of our shows just watch our shows!

I recently got to see that ep. it is hilarious.

Been doing some more research abd it looks like NBC have pulled the plug on the show but may pick it back up in the future once the actor who plays Moss is done with the UK version.

The It department at my company use the exact same quote on the phone whenever comes a problem: "have you tried to turn it off and turn it on again?" And I almost died laughing my ass off because they have no idea of the existence of the show!

 Knocking them all over twice to boot, I love that episode.

I also love the episode where Jen says "balls". Just the way she says it, slowly, and disgustedly
