So, looks like we know the event. Or an event, at least...
Who guessed it? Nobody. You all failed.
Sarek's first heart attack.

Except
Well he's bleeding, so my guess is an attack on vulcan using a cloaked ship?
Heart attacks can be brought on by stress/injury.
I still think he was referring to Picard saying the first contact with the Klingon's did not go well. If that's the case it's accurate but inaccurate at the same time. It wasn't the first contact unless he means first official contact in 100 years. In either case, both went badly, though this one went much worse than Broken Bow incident.Wait. *That* doesn't sound to me like what was referred to by "The season-long story line revolves around an incident and an event in Star Trek history that's been talked about but never been explored".
Now that S1 is over, what was the incident/event? Sorry my memory can't answer this for me.
(Had the "Battle of the Binary Stars" been talked about? If so that could be the incident. And perhaps the event was the war with the Klingons?)

Except there was no mention of such a thing in canon prior to "Errand of Mercy"A "hot war" between the Federation and the Klingon Empire.
And Fuller himself."The Incident" probably got jettisoned with Fuller's plot.

Yes it was. You're completely wrong on that point.Fuller's plot wasn't jettisoned, though.
