The Holiday Season. It has....begun.

Another guest I love whenever he's on is Phill Jupitus. Although, now I'm well-versed in the British comedy panel show genre, I actually know most of the guests from other shows and appreciate their own particular humor.

And as a German, I may be biased, but this rant by Henning Wehn has always been one of my favorites:

I'm gonna give a shout out to my neighborhood here. I live in a solidly middle class Midwestern neighborhood where everyone puts up their crazy decorations that they've had since forever. You'd never see professionally strung light displays in this neighborhood, but you'll see a dizzying array of lights everywhere. There are so many people who do more + moar for all the holidays: the lights, the blow up snowmen, the plastic santas, the Christmas music... I love it! Here's to you, Midwest holiday over the top decorators!

ETA there's a subset of neighbors that really do decorations for all the holidays. The displays for St. Patrick's Day, Easter, 4th of July, Thanksgiving are just as elaborate. I don't know where they're storing the stuff!

I used to put up a set of energy-hog C9's every Halloween, in yellow-orange-red. Then in November, I'd change the bulbs out to multicolored for Christmas, and at the end of January, I'd change them to red-white-pink for Valentine's. Not that I like Valentine's Day, but February in the Pacific Northwest can be so dark and dreary... but because they were big powerful bulbs, you could see my balcony a mile away.

If I ever got a house, I can only imagine how light crazy I'd get.

This is a great idea!!

Is Christmas ever mentioned on Voyager? Possibly a subtle reference by Tom or Neelix who might have read about it and describe it like a 'religion based gift exchange festival'.

Didn't a Q briefly turn Voyager into a Christmas tree ornament in one episode?
