I really liked that. Like "Fugitive", it's another one that twists half way through into something completely unexpected, whamming us upside the head with arc material when we thought we were getting a standard one-off adventure. Show us a Cyberman in the trailer, have a character warn us about the Cyberman, release the title of the penultimate episode that namecheck that Cyberman so that we would be dreading its arrival... and then boom, surprise us with it an episode early and make us jump out of our seats. Very cleverly done.

Of course it's a bit predictable that the Whoniverse would place a Cyberman as the inspiration for Frankenstein's monster (in fact that connection was already made in an Eighth Doctor audio, Mary Shelley was even the Eighth Doctor's companion for a brief while), but for all that element's predictability they didn't belabour the point, we're mostly left to infer it for ourselves. What is just as interesting is that it also implies that Shelley's poem "Darkness" was based upon these events.

Some gorgeous directorial touches, excellent use of horror movie tropes, and just stunning images. How perfect are these images?
