The grocery store disgusts me sometimes...

ThankQ: You were being sarcastic right? Yes I was trying to be serious about my apology for crying out loud. So yes, about the snard, unwarranted comments being made about her weight, I do apologise. And that's how serious it gets on that one. And no, people don't have to be perfect in my world at all. I find that comment distasteful. Honestly, I have fought little weighty problems of my own in RL and have been called names after names after names in high school..plus bullied in Middle School..so I've dealt with tons of crap before my in life.

Pingfah: yes, I did bring that crap on myself. I didn't realize that my comments were gonna be thrown back in my face on here..so for that, I need to learn to think before I type in the future.

Finn: I didn't keep on making unwarranted judgements about her after I apologised. I was merely apologizing for my crudeness. And the medical issues may be true and if that is indeed the fact than I feel sorry for her.

Well, we are likely to attack in others the areas of our own insecurities, nothing new there, just makes you as human as the rest of us.

I assume the part you find distasteful is "being all fat and nasty and gross looking?". Good. It is distasteful. It was supposed to sound distasteful. I find it surprising, given the ridicule you were subjected to, that you would reflect that toward others.

ThankQ: Well, to be honest, that day I was feeling sort of angry at the world per-sey and was taking my frustrations out on others, yes. And yes, being fat is disgusting in my opinion. But to me, there ARE worse things than just being fat. Glad to know you do understand a bit now. Guess I should have said something earlier about that. It just wasn't a wonderous moment in my life and I choose to forget it in someways. I guess I've turned into a bitter person because of it. But I'm Sagitarrius! And we Sags have a tendency to come across as being too brutally honest for our own goods. :)

It's okay. I've made a completely regrettable ass of myself here before. Stay around long enough and it'll happen.

You got off to an early start though, ensign :)

Thanks for that. :) Yeah, a TOO EARLY start. I guess I shouldn't have even brought it up in the first place. But I was just curious for others' experiences about that on here.

Pingfah: Yeah, NOW I know! So right back at ya! :P

Maybe, instead of aiming the topic of this thread at people as I did earlier, let's just talk about people in the grocery store and about how ignorant they can be standing in your way. I mean, it's like they're psychic or something and can communicate through the brain to you to tell you to get the hell outta the way.

All right..to make peace, I'll apologise for the rude weighty problems the woman has. Maybe it's none of my business, but honestly I have NO sympathy for someone who eats there way through life.

Here, you apologized then immediately made an judgmental comment. You don't know her. Leave it at that

You know what I really hate, it's people who refuse to look like they are queuing. They stand sort of 6ft behind the next person in the queue and stare around aimlessly, then get all shitty when you stand in front of them.

Look like you are queuing people!

Queing is sexy!

What, an elderly woman who doesn't know what make her car is? How does that in any way affect her driving?

The only detail of her car she knew was that it "was white." She didn't know if it had four doors, she didn't know at the very least what the manufacturer of it was and, hell, she wasn't even close to where she had parked it.

Sorry, that worries me. If she's incapable of remembering back less than hour ago to know where she parked her car -in a not very big lot- or what her own car is (it was her car, she had mentioned having that car for a while.) Then, yeah, I find that troubling.

And, Kestra, I wish I was embellishing on her not knowing anything about her car but I am not. Every question I'd ask her about the car I'd get "it's white." She didn't know if it was a 2-door, 4-door or a 5-door. (She did know it was a car and not a truck, wagon or a van.) She didn't know if it was a Ford or other make, she didn't know how many doors it had, she didn't now if it was an old car or a new car the only she knew was that the car was "white." And, honestly, I half-expected even that to end up not being true.

She knew nothing about that car. I'd understand if it was a friend's car, a spouse's car she doesn't use very often, a rental, etc. but in all of those cases I'd at the very least expect someone to know something about the car beyond its color. She didn't need to say, "Oh, it's a white 2006 Ford Taurus LX, with option package 23-C and a brown leather interior, and 12-point chrome rims!" Simply saying like "a white Ford four-door," would've been helpful.

But I'd hope that a person would know something about the car they just drove was something other than a "white car."

Some people don't like standing that close or consider it rude. Unless the store is crowded, 6 feet is okay

^6' is bigger than it sounds. 2-3' is better as it still doesn'r reall intrude into personal space.

Some Supermarket Aisles aren't much wider than 6'.

^ Exactly, 3 people in the queue and you're at the back of the shop in a lot of places, if everyone stood that far apart.

And to be honest most queues I've seen people are within the foot space of each other. But that might be a British thing as we Brits have queing down to an olympic gold level. :P

Well, when was the last time you won Gold in anything else?

Okay. I just stood 6 ft (I measured) from the couch. Seems average to me (much further at CVS:lol:). I've gotten funny looks at 3 feet.
