Nay.
A) In a largely symbolic gesture (as I suspect that hardly anyone else on this board might have had a chance to see it), I would like to nominate a series, which is quite important to me on a personal level; not just due to what i consider its narrative and filmic merits, but also because it deals with some of the most important political, social and cultural issues of the last century in both of my immediate home cultures.

A diverse group of young professionals (and friends) in Greece during (German Occupation) and after (Civil War) WWII... We are introduced to the lives and dreams of famous theater actress Theano Galati, publisher of a small democratic newspaper Marinos Velis, lawyer Thrasivoulos Drakos and his wife Marietta, public official at the Department Of Education Kyriakos Kostakareas and journalist and revolutionary Leonidas Maleas, whose personal circumstances and aspirations are drastically changed by the onslaught and upheaval of war. Kostakarea`s arrest leads to Τheano Galati crossing paths with major of the SS Ernst Hillebrand. Eventually, and with grave consequences for everyone involved, the two of them do fall deeply in love, and (try to) ignore and toss aside all ideological differences, patriotic duties and nationalistic differences.
