I saw the bitch slap, but there as another 30 seconds.
Not that much happens after that. It just felt so anti climactic....... What a way to end the series?
I watched what I didn't see before.

She doesn't take Big's hand, which is finally "leaving" her husband, because she thinks she sees Jason.
It wasn't Jason.
Diane Smacks her.
Which is Diane's way of saying "you're fired" I suppose?
So she doesn't have a boyfriend, kids, husband or job.
Alicia disassembled.
All the Good Wife has left, is wine.
But I already sat through 6 seasons of Cougar Town, so no thank you.

This is interesting -- CBS is considering a Christine Baranski/Cush Jumbo spin-off/sequel series for All Access.
I liked the finale, but then I'm someone who doesn't need every last i dotted and every last t crossed. It certainly wasn't great, but neither was it the utter dud I've seen it made out to be. Some random thoughts:
* This is something I'd only ever say about a fictional character and I'm not entirely comfortable saying it even then, but I'm glad someone slapped Alicia. She's become more and more unlikeable as the series has progressed and has taken on more of Peter's more unfortunate characteristics. I hadn't expected Diane to react in quite that way to Alicia's cynical and (to Diane's mind) inexcusable betrayal, but I'm...not unhappy she did it.
* I don't think the show ever regained its footing after Josh Charles left. His appearance in the finale merely confirmed that.
* I like that we didn't find out if Alicia ended up with cypher-man, or Jason or whatever he was called, because we knew so little about him that I didn't care if they got together or not.
* it says something about this series that it had so many (IMO) unpleasant, unlikeable characters and managed to make them so interesting, if not compelling. I disliked Alicia more and more as the series progressed but I always wanted to know what happened next.
* of course, it also had some of the best recurring characters any show ever had. If it's possible to genuinely miss a fictional person, I'm going to miss Elsbeth Tascioni. And the real version of Kalinda Sharma.
I'll also miss this series. As uneven as it's been at times, at its best it was quite brilliant.

CBS released the trailer for The Good Fight, the spin-off series on CBS All-Access, yesterday. I didn't realize it starred Rose Lesley (Downton Abbey, Game of Thrones).
No. The show was in the habit of thinking she was badass, when really she was just needy and lacking in morals.
True. The real badass of the show was Elsbeth Tascioni.
I liked Kalinda, I thought they were all pretty badass and sneaky at times. Amanada Lockhart was a sneaky sneaky, at times. I liked her
Yes, it was like they were trying to portray her as cool, badass and independent, but to me it seemed that she was a sociopath. I hated how she would constantly use people, seeing them merely as sources of whatever she needed in the moment, regardless of their feelings.
