Funny, mate... As for over 16 year old age, it means shit here. I got a friend who got busted for statutory rape after getting his girlfriend pregnant. He was two months older i believe. But he was 18 and she was 17... He was legally an adult but she wasn't. One twisted justice system, that's for bloody sure.
Nah, quite frankly I've stopped caring. I'm used to it by now. Police corruption in this town is higher than anywhere else in the country. There are two cops in the entire department that i can honestly say that i trust. One is my friend's brother and the other, well lets just say i owe him big-time and leave it at that.

It's a pretty cool new program. We'll serve about 400 very-low income veteran families with it.
^ I thank you also. Although I'm technically not in the service yet, and even then not in the US Armed Forces but the Swedish Army. I my book, nationality doesn't matter. Besides, I had a friend in the USMC who died back in 08. I also believe I can speak for his family. So thank you.

3 yerars, 7 months, and 24 days: How long I was without a full-time job.
6 days: How long I have had a full-time job since I started last Friday.
It is nothing special and its not the pharmacy technician job I recently trained for. I am just a shuttle bus driver for a manufacturing companies employees. But it is full-time at $12 an hour; will allow me to pay my bills and feel like a man again;allow me time to add some extra pharmacy tech skills to give me an edge in the market; and most important give me the stability to actually try and combat my depression and move forward with my existence. If that happens though you will all have to learn to live without my "life is pointless" threads so there is a downside to this.

Anyway, yesterday it was announced that it was funded. $965,000 a year.
I think that's amazing! My fiance does grant proposal writing as part of her job (she works for a youth services organization in a really high needs area of Toronto), and has often complained about how frustrating it can be. Great news for you!

Being out of full time work for a long period like that can drive you nuts, it just cascades into other issues. Congratulations on the new job, TBWCW! Things look sunny now!
Sometimes it's the little things. When my family was here last weekend they brought me 4 boxes of TastyKakes from back home. I'm savoring every bad-for-you bite.
